Jungkook had a reputation for regularly trying new hobbies and quickly excelling at them. Football was a recent passion, but he had given himself body and soul to it and was on his way to becoming a champion.

In the eyes of Seokjin, he was an athlete that this competition had made it possible to recognize in just one year and who had not usurped his reputation and his position unlike the other players that Seokjin played with. The latter admired him a lot as a sportsman and he seemed so friendly that Seokjin did not hesitate for a second to shake the hand he held out to him.

"Delighted as well, Jungkook, you can call me Jin," he said with a big smile.

Even though he was his rival, Seokjin suddenly longed to become his friend, and he wondered if he too planned to go to Whimoon High School. He would have liked it. This high school was not the most popular with the very wealthy students who preferred more upscale establishments - which obviously delighted Seokjin, but perhaps Jungkook was a boy from the same world as him and had been able to be enrolled in a private school thanks to his talent for football and was then going to join a sports high school?

Seokjin was about to ask him when he suddenly felt another cold look on him. This time he felt it, it had nothing to do with the previous curious look of Jungkook. It was a cold, threatening look. While still clutching Jungkook's hand in his, he looked up in the direction of the stands and saw Taehyung and Jimin leaning against the barriers, watching him from up there. Jimin watched him with a curiosity that bordered on amusement, but Taehyung had the hard look of someone who was visibly upset.

Did Taehyung want to see if he collapsed from what he told him before the match? Did he feel humiliated for having lost his bet with himself? Seokjin, who never felt more confident than when he was on the football field, smiled triumphantly and glared at Taehyung defiantly, to show him that it was quite the opposite: he didn't give up.

He would never give up when he was so close to realizing his dream, not even under threat. The main thing was not what Taehyung and the other classemates thought, but what the recruiters thought, he was sure: the country needed to train talented footballers because it was sorely lacking in international competition so sports high schools had to look for real sportsmen like him or Jungkook, not fake rich sportsmen who paid to give the appearance of being talented like Dae-Ho.

In addition, Seokjin had a serious opponent in front of him that day to beat for this match and out of respect for him, he could not show himself weak otherwise the match would not be interesting.

"Um..." Jungkook said, clearing his throat to get his attention, before nodding his hand.

Seokjin turned away from Taehyung and Jimin and noticed with embarrassment that he was still shaking hands with Jungkook. He dropped it hastily and exclaimed:

"Oh sorry!"

"No problem," Jungkook said, before pointing at the two boys who had lost interest in Seokjin and started moving, one going to sit down and the other going down the stairs probably to go back to the school building. "Who are these? Not your supporters I imagine, regarding the way they were looking at you."

If Seokjin wanted to become Jungkook's friend, he absolutely didn't want Jungkook to become Taehyung and Jimin's friend. The two boys would have either harmed Jungkook as they had harmed himself, or perverted him with their evil personalities. So Seokjin presented them in his own way:

"They are the two richest and most pretentious guys in the school, and that's saying something considering the school in question! Taehyung thinks he is the prince of the school but in fact he only won this title because the last prince abdicated leaving middle school to go to high school, in reality he never won the war of princes, he just inherited his title. Do you know Harry Potter?" he suddenly asked, out of nowhere, taking Jungkook by surprise.
