We just took off a few minutes ago. I got champagne and was sitting on Jake's lap. He puts his arm around me, and we're sitting so that our hands are touching. I rest my other hand on his shoulder. It feels awkward at first but by the time we got more details about the operation, I can feel him relax. I realize I like sitting like this, it gives me comfort to feel Tim so close to me. I see Hajek's crew laughing at something.

I hear Jake ask: "What is it? What's so funny?"

"Rosalind Dyer just escaped custody"

"Glad we aren't in LA tonight" I vaguely hear someone say as my mind feels like it's been put under water, all I hear are sounds from far away. I can't think straight anymore. Is Rosalind looking for me? Does she have another apprentice like Caleb?  Without realizing it, I dig my fingernails deeper into Jake's shoulder. I can feel him grab my hand and lean his face closer to our now intertwined hands. I'm being pulled back to reality by his touch.

"Yow, how long until we land?" I hear Jake ask.

"15 minutes, why?"

"Mile High Club, baby" Jake replies as he grabs my hand and pulls me up from the chair.

I look up at him and wonder if he can see the worry in my eyes. I hope not, because maybe Hajek's men can see it too then. Before I can drown in Tim's eyes, he pulls me toward the bathroom.

Once the door is shut, my brain starts ranting.

"How can this happen?" I ask Tim

"I don't know, but everyone is on it! She won't be out long."

"Did she have help? Another apprentice like Caleb? Is she trying to hurt ME because I didn't have the guts to t-?"

But Tim cuts me off "STOP! Ok, stop, we can't worry about her right now. If you can't focus on the mission it'll get you killed."

"Yeah! You're right. I'm fine" but I could tell by his expression that he didn't believe me. It took everything in me to not claw myself to him in a hug. But I kept my cool. I'm smiling on the inside because he kept his promise to always help me when I worried about Rosalind Dyer. I can see the worry in his eyes, but he doesn't say anything about it.

"Ok maybe I'm not fine but I can do this!" I say. My tone must've been very convincing because he agrees.

"Ok, but if you change your mind. You just say the word!"

"Yeah, I will, thanks," I say with a small smile.

He takes one step towards the door when I put my hand on his torso and hold him back.

"Wait, we're supposed to be hooking up in here."

But all Tim does is look at me in confusion, like he doesn't know what I'm expecting him to do with that. Before my brain can second guess my decision it's too late to back out.
