"Say, Ian, if I were to run away one day, don't be too sad, okay?"

-Verspara

Verspara stood on the balcony of her room.

'Perfect.'

Testing out the wind speed, she hummed.

I suppose having a major in Chemical Engineering has its perks.

'It's time to initiate the plan.'

Meanwhile, Ian was in his room, looking out into the city.

"Young master, you seem gloomy today."

His butler said, pouring him some jasmine tea.

Ian didn't say anything.

'I feel like something bad's about to happen.'

He sipped his tea.

The leaves blew and flew along with the wind.

The Autumn breeze gently rocked the tree perched on Verspara's balcony.

Everything was quiet.

She walked across the room, her shoes clacking against the marble floor.

Click.

Branching out her wings, she plucked a feather.

Infusing it with dead mana, the feather grew into a corpse.

Supposedly-her corpse.

She took off her bracelet and put it on the corpse.

She dragged her fake corpse and set it beside the mana stones.

Verspara emptied half her mana stones.

Opening her stash, she took out the mana disturbance tool.

This was it.

Verspara was finally initiating her escape plan after one and a half years of hard work.

Now, being the holy maiden, Verspara had accomplished many things, earning a name for herself.

Divine energy flowed out of her right hand and dead mana flowed out of her left.

'Right. the ratio of 3:7 will cause an explosion big enough to cause a chain reaction and obliterate this room.'

Verspara had spent one whole month, meticulously calculating her escape plan.

Black and white met at the centre like yin and yang.

'Just a bit more..'

The energy fused.

A grey glass sphere was formed.

'Good.'

Stepping onto the railing of the balcony, Verspara spread out her wings.
