Chapter Seventeen

"What the hell do you mean he never showed up?"

Billy was walking alongside Robin. She finally called when she realized Steve was taking weirdly too long

"I'm telling you he just never showed up at my house! It's not like him to do that."

The two walked into a family video even though Robin was already late, "Do you know how he gets to your house?"

"Yeah, we can check it out when I'm done with work?" Robin asked, Billy nodded, "Okay.. That sounds good."

"While you're here, do you mind helping me out with stuff in the back?" Since Steve was not here, she decided to ask.

Robin was working her shift at the counter when a familiar car drove into the parking lot

She needed not to focus on who it was. She had a lot of work to do because she came in late

The bell rang soon after, and at the door was Eddie and Chrissy sliding off hoods they had been using to cover themselves.

Behind them, both were two of kids, one being Dustin, who ran up to the desk and slammed his hands down

"Please don't slide over the counter -" Robin tried to say, "What the hell is Billy's car doing here?" He asked

"Yeah, he's supposed to be at Steve's." Mike added when he got to the counter too, "I can explain, okay?"

"Hey Robin, I finished what you wanted -" Dustin pointed his finger, "Ah ha! What are you doing here?"

Billy pushed Dustin's hand down, "Did Robin not tell you yet?" He asked, "I haven't got the chance."

Eddie and Chrissy were grazing over movies in the shop while Robin explained what Billy was doing there

"Steve got kidnapped?" Dustin yelled, making Billy scoffed, "What no -" Robin denied

"It happened before!" Dustin was speaking about last year when Russians had got Steve and Robin

"I mean, there was a weird looking car in the neighborhood.." Billy spoke, and Dustin's eyes widened.

"And you didn't think to tell anyone!"

"Steve didn't think it was a big deal, so we ignored it." Dustin sighed, rubbing his head, "Was it there when you left?"

Robin and Billy looked at each other. Billy shook his head, looking away, but before Dustin could speak, the customer came in

Robin pushed Billy into the backroom, and the door rang, which made Chrissy and Eddie put their hoods on

"You two stay quiet." Robin said, going to help the customer, Dustin and Mike looked at her turn around and then went into the backroom.

"There was a sketchy van which is now gone as well as Steve, and you didn't think about it?" Dustin argued

"Listen, Henderson, I wasn't thinking about it when I was driving, okay?"

"Do you plan on doing anything to find him?" Dustin asked, "Me and Robin are going to follow his route to her house."

"Then I'm going." Dustin stated, though Billy figured he would anyway, "Wheeler, are you coming?"

"Yeah, I'll come.." Mike shrugged, "but are we all going to fit in your car?"

"He shouldn't even be driving his car! He's supposed to be dead, " Dustin said poking Billy in the middle of his chest

Billy held his chest, surprised it hurt, "What are you dinguses doing?" Robin asked, opening the door
