In the 2003 series, a deadly Utrom named Ch'rell landed on Earth and heard stories of a legendary demon called The Shredder and a warrior he took the form of named Oroku Saki. Ch'rell took these names as his own and became a horrible threat to the very UNIVERSE.
Commander Kraang is the ruthless leader of The Kraang, believing that the strong should destroy the weak. He himself is one of the strongest.
And since he's still alive...I think it'd be fitting if he one day took the name: Shredder.
