Author's P.O.V

Hyunjin felt himself relaxing as he was brought into his mate's loving embrace. The ravenette was shirtless which wasn't anything unusual to Hyunjin. But he would be lying if he denied the fact that the warmth radiating from Chan's naked skin was sending fluttering sensations throughout his whole body.

"Are you in pain? You're burning up slightly." Chan said as he pulled back and touched the younger's forehead with the back of his hand.

Hyunjin felt blood rushing to the tips of his ears which he was sure were now tinted red due to his mate's touch of concern.

"I am fine. It doesn't hurt as bad as yesterday." Hyunjin assured his worried mate while internally trying to shake of the daze of need spreading through his mind.

"But it still hurts right? Come on. Just lay down for now. I will get a towel and cold water." The older turned towards the bathing room but Hyunjin stopped him by his hand, regretting it the next second as sparks spiked through him up right at the point of skin to skin contact, leaving his body in googesbumps.

"What happened love?" Chan asked, confused as Hyunjin seem to be struggling to push out a single word from his mouth.

"Christopher, you are tired as well. Just get some sleep. You don't have to do anything. I am truely alright. I promise." The golden haired male managed to say, trying his best to sound convincing.

"Jinnie, I am not listening to you in this matter." Chan said with a stern face and walked into the bathing room ignoring Hyunjin's words.

The younger sighed in defeat but a small smile played on his lips. Being so cared for and pampered by his mate felt surreal and left a giddy feeling to overtake his heart.

"Get on the bed. I will join you in a minute!"
Chan shouted from the bathing room.

Hyunjin knew that sentence was purely innocent but he couldn't stop the heat rising further in his gut. He removed his fur coat as he felt unbearably hot all of a sudden and the pain in his abdomen got accompanied by fiery desire yet again. He couldn't fully comprehend as to how on earth Chan's words could unintentionally affect him this way.

His instincts were urging him to basically pounce on Chan and beg him to mate him, immediately. But at the same time Hyunjin felt too embarrassed to admit that directly to the older. He knew it was stupid, they were now official mates and have done far beyond to be shy anymore but the younger just couldn't help his flustered state.

The golden haired male inhaled deeply to calm himself down. He scurried his way to the bed, hiding his entire body under the comforter, then tossing it away the very next moment because it made him feel suffocatingly hot. His skin had begun to itch against his clothes due to sweat and he urgently wanted to free himself off of them.

He panicked at hearing Chan come out of the bathing room and quickly tried to compose himself again. Hyunjin turned to his side, curling up, staring at the window to distract himself as he heard Chan's footsteps nearning the bed. He felt the mattress beside him press down right before he felt two gentle taps on his shoulder. The little touch caused another round of fireworks in the pit Hyunjin's core, waves of heat origining from the mark on his neck and attacking his private places.

Hyunjin had always been affected by Chan's smallest touches. But after getting marked by the ravenette every sensation felt like it had become a millionth time more hightened than before.
