You would have been able to recognise those voices with your eyes closed since those were the same voices you heard a couple of minutes ago, laughing and playing around by the poolside.

Hyun-Woo and Ara. The two friends of Jimin. The people who were the closest to him.

You couldn't listen to another word of their disgusting conversation anymore and ran away to the lounge to find your friend.

Misoo was in the same place as she was before but the only difference was she was a bit tipsy after having a couple of drinks. Actually more than tipsy by the looks of it.

Even if you felt heartbroken, you would have stayed with Misoo for her happiness but after hearing those people's conversation, you couldn't help but feel like an intruder in this place.

You didn't want to lose your self-respect as well as your friend's. You both weren't desperate to fit into this crowd nor wanted to associate yourselves with these types of people. At least, you weren't.

You felt suffocated to even breathe the same air as those spoiled and arrogant people in this secluded area.

After many tries and struggles, you were able to bring or more like drag Misoo with you, take a cab and drop her home.

If there is another thing you learnt in this pitiful time is the fact that Misoo had a very low alcohol tolerance.

You promised to yourself that you would never let her drink ever again without supervision.

As soon as you reached home, you went straight to your room and locked yourself inside.

Jisoo was a bit surprised by your entry since she didn't expect you to come this early. Two hours didn't even pass by properly since you left for a party and yet here you were back at home.

Your sister wasn't naive, she knew how much you wanted to go to this party based on the way you acted.

Never once, you acted this way but here you were in your second year of uni acting like a school girl with raging hormones.

She knew that something or someone important might have been associated with the party hence this behaviour.

Both your sister and you never really had a close bond or relationship but at the same time, there wasn't any animosity between the two of you either.

She was a year older than you and you both simply didn't share the same interests.

While you were immersed in the world of books, your sister was immersed in the world of music. While you were mesmerised by art, your sister was mesmerised by nature.

You both were like different coloured leaves that grew on the same tree. So alike yet so different.

Jisoo knocked on your bedroom's door not being able to sit by without doing anything.

"Hey y/n-ie.. are you alright?"she asked with the softest tone as possible by your door.

She wanted to respect your privacy but at the same time, she wanted to fulfil her big sister duties. Both your parents were doing night shifts and you were both alone at home.

She could get an idea of how parties were, especially if they were thrown by people that were viewed as the most popular ones even though she hated both that term & those people, and by the looks of it, she could guess that the party you went to, was one of those.

You, on the other hand didn't have the energy or were in the mood to talk to anyone including Jisoo.

Tears were streaming down your cheeks and your eyes were bright red due to your excessive crying.

You felt disrespected, humiliated and embarrassed. For developing irrational feelings towards someone who could never see you and for going to that party wanting to see him more, and especially for hoping. Hoping that something could happen.

You weren't stupid, you knew if his friends thought that way, he would for sure think that way as well. You could see someone's friends and make up what type of person they are.

In this case, it wasn't an exception.

Every single person who attended that party including Jimin, would have thought the same thing.

Their words pierced right through your heart like daggers. You felt ashamed of yourself for having dreams that were too good to be true.

Without hearing a response back, Jisoo left your door hoping that you were well. She couldn't force you to talk to her and open up to her if you weren't willing to.

On the other side of the door, you laid on the bed and cried until every single tear left your eyes.

It didn't matter how much you cried, their words kept replaying in your mind every single time like a broken record and you couldn't help but shed even more tears.

The tiny hope you had built got destroyed without a single trace of evidence. It was just gone.
