He couldn't breathe.
His heart seemed as if it had paused, only for a short moment, but it felt like it had stopped completely.
He didn't know what was going on. Why was it so dark?
He knew his arm was shattered, smashed and maimed.
But he felt no pain. Just emptiness.
It was quiet, too quiet. He didn't like the dark, but he wasn't afraid.
He looked around, just a blank void. No sound, nothing around him at all. It felt like his eyes where closed, well eye. He could only open one. The other seemed damaged?
He didn't know where he was. He wasn't alive.
But he wasn't dead. Something told him that. A gut feeling? No. Maybe he just didn't want to believe he was.
He didn't want to die. Not yet. But he knew he wasn't alive. His heart wasn't working. It stopped. But something kept him from moving forward. Something kept him from going on. From losing reality.
And suddenly.
All he saw. Was red.
