Chapter Fifteen: Danger

Dakota's POV

I sit in the bathroom with Maddy and BB as Maddy talks about being pregnant, I roll my eyes at her as she and I are not having a kid and I'll be dammed if she had one with Nate

"Well goo think I wear a condom with you" I say getting off the bathroom counter, Maddy shoves me playfully and I giggle before poking both her sides making her jump

"Kota" She shrieks and I laugh as she comes towards me and starts slapping my arm but I pick her up and throw her over my shoulder and she screams as Kat and BB laugh at us, I put Maddy down as BB starts talking to Kat about her and Ethan

"Yea I saw that picture, y'all are cute" I say and Kat gives us a small smile, the conversation turns sexual and I can see Kat is lying through her teeth

I've noticed how she is so unhappy with Ethan but she never says anything bad about him which is weird because she would if she was in any sort of trouble

We all walk out do the bathroom and I go to split from Maddy but she pulls me into a big ass kiss, I kiss back immediately but I'm very confused

"Ok...see you after school" She says and I nod and look down the hallways to see Cassie staring back at me, I give her an uncomfortable look and she walks towards me determinedly before dragging me to a janitors closet

"What was that" She says and I look at her like she's stupid

"Umm Maddy giving me a very weird and hard kiss...why am I in a closet" I say confused

"Are you two together" Cassie says and I scoff at her

"Are you with Nate" I say and she goes quiet

"No....he and I don't talk" She says and I roll my eyes

"Dakota please I need to talk to you....there's things you don't know" She pleads as she grabs my hand but I move it away

" I'm not talking to you about this...it's bad enough I'm talking to you right now" I say and Cassie looks at me very offended

"What do you mean by that" She says

"Hmmm I don't know maybe because you fucked Nate and Maddy hates you right now...on top of the fact that you broke my heart" I say and Cassie looks at the floor

"It was a mistake....I'm paying for it enough" She says and I shake my head

"Well I can't talk to you right now...there's a lot going on and I don't need Kat, Maddy and BB on my ass about it" I say and Cassie gives me a disappointed look

"I thought you made your mind up yourself and didn't follow everyone else's words and feelings but your own" Cassie says and that hits me like a ton of bricks, i start to think it over and I let out a frustrated sign before leaning against the wall

"Fine.....you will have a chance to explain yourself...this better be worth hearing" I say and Cassie nods rapidly

"It is I promise......but I have a question" She says

"What" I say looking at the floor as the images of her and Nate flash in my head and the grief I feel stirs along with it

"Why did you trash your house" Cassie asks lowly, I look at her and see a worried look on her face, she's the first to ask why I've been a little moody lately like one minute I'm goofy the next I'm angry and sad

"I don't wanna talk about it right now so leave it...meet me at my house later tonight" I say before exiting the closet we are in

Cassie's POV

I lay on my bed as I do some homework but I can't focus since I keep thinking back to Dakota, she's hearing me out and I'm so grateful but in that I can't lie like I have before

She reads me so well and I can tell she's not thinking the same things as Maddy and the rest since she's actually talking to me, I jump as my phone dings suddenly

I pick it up to see another text from Nate, I've been avoiding him and he won't leave me alone almost like he's trying to be a backstabber and wants me to be one with him

Nate: I want to see you again, I had a great time at New Year's Eve with you

Me: no I can't do that to Maddy again

Nate: Is it really Maddy or is it Dakota

Me: that's none of your business Nate, just leave me alone I don't want to do what we did again

Nate: Just think about it Cassie

I sigh before leaving him on read and shutting my phone, he won't leave me alone and I'm trying my best to say no, something that I should have said a lot more

"Cassie...come downstairs..now" Lexi says coming into our room, I can see she's worried and I get up immediately and go downstairs to see my mom and Cal Jacobs in the dining room

"Hello Cassie...please sit" He says, I look at Lexi and she looks scared and I bet I look the same

I sit at the table and look at Cal as he looks at me very strangely

"Cassie...do you know how my son got hurt" He says, my eyes widen and I immediately lie

"No Mr.Jacobs" I say and I see him ball his fists

"Don't lie to me...because I don't want you to be protecting someone who needs to be punished" Cal says and I shift in my seat uncomfortably

"I'm not lying" I say and he nods before looking to my mother who promptly kicks him out of our house, my mom walks back to me and looks at me with a stern look

"Cassie do you know who hurt Nate because I don't want that man commingled back here" My mom says and I sigh

"I do but I don't want them to get in trouble" I say and Lexi and looks at me

"Who beat Nate up at that party Cassie" My mom says sternly

"It was Dakota...she beat him up" I say softly and my mom sighs

"Do you know why...and please warn her about his man, maybe her parents can help" She says and I look down, I look to Lexi who's face changes immediately

"Cassie want did you do" Lexi says and I look down

"I slept with Nate" I say and I hear my mom gasp

"Cassie...I raised you better than that" My mom yells and I look at her

"I'm sorry ok I know I shouldn't have" I yell back

"Well why would you think to do that I mean he's your best friends boyfriend" My mom yells again

"Yea Cas that's really fucked up" Lexi says chiming in

"Ex boyfriend and I don't want walk about it...I have to go to Dakotas" I say before getting up

"You need to apologize to Maddy, that girl loves you" My mom says and I nod before walking to my car, I look over and see Cal sitting in his truck and I immediately look away from him and get into my car

I drive in circles and stop at gas station for some snacks before getting back in my car, once I see he's not following me anymore I drive to Dakota's, I park in the drive way and go to her door to se it's open and she's standing there already

"What took you so long" She says and I sigh

"There's a lot more we need to talk about now" I say before walking into her house and she shuts the door behind me

This is going to be a long talk

A/n ok well Cal has come into play and we're obviously not safe so yayyyyyyy creepy dad in a mid life crisis
