One red red rose, I give to you.
To show my love is ever true.
I love you now, much more than ever.
If only my words could be more clever -
So, I could better express my emotion.
Of unceasing, endless, true devotion.
My friend, my lover, of this I wish to proudly boast.
You are, beyond a doubt, the one I love the most.
