Third person's POV

After a week, the Marcoses sent letters to those who won the regional competition who will go to nationals. The letter includes the person who will house them for the next month for their review.

(Jessie's POV)

6:00 AM

I received a lot of letters from the senate and others from my colleagues in the army. I saw a letter addressed to Jassy. It was from the Marcos residence specifically from Imee. I quickly opened the envelope and read the letter.

"You are going to be housed by Irene Marcos-Araneta at Forbes Manila, Philippines." those information made me nervous for no other reason than the fact that Irene  will be seeing her daughter for the first time in 17 and a half years. "We will meet at Greenbelt Mall in Makati at precisely 12 noon on Saturday for you to be accompanied by my sister along with 5 other students whom you will join for Nationals to go to her house. Please bring with you your parent or guardian." Talaga bang nagyayari na toh? At gusto talaga nilang sumama ako ha.

"Jassy!!! You told me na may meeting pa kayo before class." I shouted.

"5 minutes." she replied.

As she came down, I gave her the letter. She looked amazed and astonished after reading the statement.

"Gusto mo ba?"

Jasmine: "Of course dad, once in a lifetime lang toh no. Makikita ko yung loob at labas ng bahay nila. And baka malay mo, makakita ako ng mga discoveries."

"Anong discoveries?"

"Mga kung ano anong antiques. Dad sige na payagan mo na ako. Pleaseeee". she said with puppy eyes.

"Fine, just update me every night." I said with a smile.

(6:00 PM)

"Dad!" Jassy yelled.

"Yes?" I answered as I looked at her right in the eye.

"Anong ginagawa mo? Kinakawawa mo ung karne! Kulang nalang maging giniling yang ulam." she said that made me look at my plate. Mukhang magiging giniling na nga dahil patuloy kong magslice.

I just smiled as I swallowed a spoonful of rice.

After dinner, she went to her room. She told me that she has to review for a quiz tomorrow.

"Tatlong tulog nalang, good morning Forbes!" she exclaimed with a smile on her face while an anxious feeling on mine.

May problema ba?

Shit! Anong gagawin mo Jessie?

"Ah ganon ba, sige magpapadala ako bukas."

"Thank you Jessie...I love you."

"So do I." I said as I hung up the phone.

I held the whiskey bottle and poured it to the glass with my hands shaking. As I stared at the whiskey, my phone rang for the second time.

"Hello, Elizalde Residence."
