||Adoration to Apollo||

8 1 1

Salutations to the Helios,
The supreme lord of the sun,
Salutations to the Phanaeus,
He who brightenes the world with his light.

Hail Apollo, the Lycegenes,
He who was born of Lycia,
Hail Apollo, the Cynthius,
He who was born upon the mountain, Cynthus .

You are full of youthfulness,
Your smile is akin to the dazzling stars,
Your hair curls like the ocean waves,
While a crown of laurel leaves sits upon your forehead.

You are are the giver of life and light,
The monarch of the sun rays,
You brought forth the beginning of life upon earth,
And preserved it with utmost care.

You are the healer of diseases and ailments,
Thus Paean is your name,
You protect the world from dark and evil,
And Alexicacus became your other epithet.

You are the lord of creativity,
You preside over every piece of art,
You are the music that soothes the soul,
You are the liberation of the mind bounded by the illusions of the world.

You are the one who made the world,
You are the one who gave it a name,
You made life with thy own hands,
And preserved it for millions of years.

You are the shine of the thunder,
The power of the chaotic tidal waves,
You are both; order and chaos,
That keeps on turning the wheel of fate and time.

You reside in every mortal soul,
As the emotion named love,
Your arms are our true home,
Purge us oh good lord, so that may we experience your divine glory.

You are the Supreme being who is embodiment of destiny,
You are the king of all kings; the ruler of three worlds,
You are the life of us all,
And you are our ultimate goal.

Thus here ends the hymn to the great father,
He who bestows hope through each sun rise,
May you never let us be diverted by this illusory world,
That is my wish to the good lord.
