Whose shade is akin to the fertile earth,
Whose four hands hold the water vessel, pomegranate, vegetables and healing herbs,
I bow down to Maa Bhoomi,
She who is the lady of earth.

Whose soil is where life had first begun,
From which was born the  great lady Sita,
I bow down to Maa Bhoomi,
Who is a member of panchabhoota, the five elements of nature.

Whose lands are filled with golden corps,
And with forests luscious green,
I bow down Maa Bhoomi,
She who is the epitome of fertility.

Who is the consort of Varaha,
The boar incarnation of Vishnu, the great preserver,
I bow down to Maa Bhoomi,
She who blesses us with life and nourishment.

Who incarnated as the daughter of Satrajit,
And became the consort of Shri Krishna,
I bow down to Maa Bhoomi,
She who is also called Satyabhama.

Who is the mother of all that is living,
And of all that is dead and forgotten,
I bow down to Maa Bhoomi,
She who is the great mother goddess.

From whose being we came forth,
Unto whose depth we shall one day rest,
I bow down to Maa Bhoomi,
She who is quintessence of moksha.

Who is said to be of tremendous preservance,
Whose strength of mind is like none other,
I bow down to Maa Bhoomi,
May she bless us with strength to bear the tussles of life.

Who is the greatest gift of Parabrahma,
From whom life came into being,
I bow down to Maa Bhoomi,
May she protect us always.
