As fair as the pearly clouds above,
Adorned in silks and gold,
I bow down to Maa Lakshmi,
She who blesses us with prosperity.
Whose feet resides upon the sacred lotus,
Whose mounts are the owl and the elephant,
I bow down to Maa Lakshmi,
She who is the lady of wealth.
Who is the divine consort of Vishnu, the great preserver,
And accompanies him in every birth to return order back to earth,
I bow down to Maa Lakshmi,
The great lady who preserves order.
Who is the creator of maya,
Illusions, to test our strength of mind
I bow down to Maa Lakshmi,
The lady who gives life.
Who is luminescent like the sun,
Bestowing life and wealth throughout the world,
I bow down to Maa Lakshmi,
She who is the divine mother.
Who is the second of the tridevis,
The three great mother goddesses,
I bow down to Maa Lakshmi,
She who bestows upon us fertility.
At whose stare the demons cower in fright,
While the sinners wither at her feet,
I bow down to Maa Lakshmi,
Who protects us from the hands of evil.
Whose name is as sweet as honey,
Which washes away all fear and sin,
I bow down to Maa Lakshmi,
May she forgive this world's fallacies.
Who resides in our heart,
And gives birth to desire,
I bow down to Maa Lakshmi,
Who bestows us with the four purusarthas,the goals of human life.
Who is the Parabrahma herself,
At whose feet we shall journey after death,
I bow down to Maa Lakshmi,
May she protect us aways.

Note; Lakshmi is one of the principal goddesses in Hinduism. She is the goddess of wealth, fortune, love, beauty, joy and prosperity, and associated with Maya (Illusion). Along with Parvati and Saraswati, she forms the trinity of Hindu goddesses (Tridevi).
