My eyes opened, and the first thing I felt was a pain in my neck. I reached out to touch and found a cervical collar wrapped around my neck, groaning I sat straight and looked around me.
There was a window on the right side of my head. It wasn't a window of a room...but a car. Maybe, Serfan was taking me somewhere now.
"I see you are awake."
I slowly turned my neck and found 'Him' sitting there instead. I fell deeper into the corner making myself smaller in fear, as if the seat would just swallow me up. he sat there chilling with his one arm on top of the seat, using his phone.
"Staring again?" He spoke. "Huh?'' My stupor state vanished, and panic started to kick in. Has Serfan sold me to 'Him'?!
"Before you panic again and 'scream,' better listen to me." However I doubted with that condition, she would be able to at least not as loud.
"Why am I with you? Where is Serfan? d-did he sold me t-to y-you?" I whispered the last question. I felt my eyes tearing up, but I held them back.
He sighed, putting away his phone, and looked directly at me. "I said. Listen to me."
After he sensed I was going to stay quiet and listen, he continued. " The reason you are with me is that Serfan didn't know what to do with you; it doesn't matter where he is from now on, you are going to stay with me, and no, he did not 'sell' you to me I took you with me by choice or you can say free of cost." His humor disgusted me.
I jolted up and shouted. "It's still the same. Why would he let you take me away?!" before I could utter another word, he pulled me by my leg, dragging me to lay down flat on the seat, and got on top of me.
"What did I say about shouting?" he hissed.
I gulped down as I saw his fangs. They seemed really sharp, just like Serfan had. They really went far with sharpening their teeth to like that huh?
"Now. You have two choices. Either you become a Vampire or live as my blood bag." He told me sternly.
There's no way I was going to tag along with their weird cult shit.
"You can take your time." He whispered in my ear. "And also. My name is Michele." He sat up again where he was. And looked at me, waiting for me to tell him mine. I crouched again in the corner whispering my name, "Ava."
................................................................
It's been three days living with Michele, and I denied being a 'vampire,' which obviously gave me a 'stamp' of a "blood bag or Sanguis." Whatever you they called it.
He had a mansion, so he was one of those rich cult people... which made more sense, for this insanity's sake.
After being locked in a room for three days straight. I had started to lose my mind. They would give me everything I needed, but what I truly needed was to get out of here. I looked out of the window. I was on the second floor, though the distance between the ground was still high. I looked if there was any way I could climb down- if not, then; I had to do the classical bedsheets tied together like a rope method.
But one problem was that I didn't have any bedsheets to tie them together. So, I took out the clothes they provided me and tied them together, they might be expensive, but my life mattered more. two knocks came from the other side of the door, and it opened. "Eva, where are you?" It was Michele. I left the closet but not before hiding the bundle of tied clothes.
"Here." I stood gauchely with my lips slightly pursed.
"You liked the clothes?" he asked with no emotion displaying on his face or the tone of his voice. I noticed that he speaks always calmly and in a low voice though it stays stern.
I simply nodded and looked at him, waiting, if he had anything else to say.
He looked for a moment, sighed, and then got up to leave, but before shutting the door behind him, he said, "I'll let you out once you get the fact wrapped around your head that this is the world you're going to live in now. Ava." Then left.
Does he really think keeping me in a room like this would make me surrender?
When it hit 4 O'clock. It was the time when no maid or Michele would come to check. So, I needed to get out of here before the dinner time. I took out the rope I had made by the only bedsheet I had and the clothes. I dropped it but it didn't reach below the outline parting the floors. I had no choice but to climb down till I reached the structure, designed on the partition between the two floors gave me an advantage to support my feet a bit. There were pipes at a small distance. If I was able to get to them, I could slide down. All of this sounded easy, but in reality, it was hard. It needed a lot of body strength and patience.
Though desperate situations can make you do anything.
I ran and ran into the forest, letting myself be swallowed by its depth.
Till I was pinned to the tree, by one and only. Michele.
And God did he looked furious.
