Tru-est

by sloanranger

These days I feel a comfort, a cared-for feeling unlike

any I've ever known.

I am unafraid suddenly, of being hurt, feeling something different this time,

perhaps better than alone.

I've known men - or thought I did... who now seem as boys - toys,

since the joy of finding you.

Always I held something back ... left a track, to find my way home.

Afraid to cast my lot, afraid even to show myself

and be caught.

Tru-est... that is you.

And

I can do that now, with my heart,

show you my mind and soul

because my whole ...

rests with you.
