With the way pain is striking up her core and burning every part of her body, Atlantis is surprised she wakes up quite early. For a few moments, she panics wondering if the warmth around her is because of the heated chains until a soft voice quiets her down and she realizes its simply her husbands embrace.
He runs a soothing hand up and down her hip, making sure to press little to no weight because he's seen the wounds and they're no doubt still fresh.
"It's just me babe, dont worry."
"Shanks..." A sigh of relief blows out of her mouth. "how long was I gone?"
He's hoping it didn't feel very long to her.
"Three days."
"Oh... it felt like I'd been in there for nearly three weeks. I guess they have top-quality torturers, huh."
Silence follow but she barely notices it, too tired to even bring herself to tilt her head up. Two fingers grasp her chin gently and it's been so long that she's just so happy to feel how gentle and caring he is with her. Her golden eyes meet his dark ones and for once they arent cheerful. Warm, yes; but cheerful? No.
"It's okay to cry, my love."
Shes tempted to but instead the corner of her lips lift up slightly.
"I thought I could only call you that." Tiredly, she looks down at his chest and closes her eyes, sensing the moving figures outside. "Shanks, let go."
