Break Up

Hello! This was requested by drarrykeepsmesane. This is a (mostly) fluffy fic with a small appearance of Drapple. Hope you like it!

Harry glanced worriedly at Draco. He had been acting strange the whole day and Harry's worried. For all he knows, Draco could be sick or something. He isn't behaving normally and it's worrying. When Harry tried to get his attention Draco would tactfully avoid anything about how he was feeling. 

Eventually right as dinner was starting, Draco pulled Harry away into a less frequented corner of Hogwarts. Draco's eyes were swollen and red, his nose equally as red. Harry began to ask question as to why he was crying, only to be stopped by Draco cutting him off. 

"I'm sorry." Harry looked up at the taller boy, concern flashing through his eyes. 

"What happened?" Harry quickly asked Draco. 

"I think it's-" Draco stopped his sentence to grab a hold of a still concerned Harry. "I think we should break up." 

Harry went from concerned too genuinely alarmed. Out of all the circumstances he ran through his head, this was definitely not one of them. Before he knew it, small tears were starting to trickled down his face. 

Draco's hands moved to whip the tears and hug him tightly. "Why?" Harry questioned him. His voice was horse and dry. 

"It's just..." Draco paused and backed up a bit to look Harry in his eyes. "You don't like green apples." Harry sniffled and stared at his ex? or boyfriend? or ex-ex? He filtered through his thoughts before finally realizing the day. 

"I hate you." He said softly while going in for another hug. 

"I'm so sorry, love." Draco squeezed the boy between his arms tighter. 

Finally, Draco's word sunk in for Harry. "Did you seriously try fake breaking up with me over an apple?" 

Draco gasped. "It's not just any apple. It's a green apple." He emphasized the word green just to make a point. 

Harry softly chucked into Draco's chest. "I can't believe you."
