The concert had finally come to an end after a couple more songs, James was really glad it had ended. Not because he hadn't enjoyed it, but rather because he had been dying to talk her. He was struggling to stand still on his place as she closed her performance.

"And that is all for today, my loves! Thank You London, I'll see you again!" Gracie's voice boomed, which caused the crowd to go crazy, cheering the loudest when the performance came to an end.

For the countless of times that night, James and Gracie locked eyes, where she offered him a small smile before she whispered something towards the bodyguard beside her, pointing towards where him and his friends were standing.

"Oh my God! Did she just point at us?" Marlene began panicking.

"Please don't have a heart attack." Sirius prayed, noticing the people around them were starting to leave.

They saw the bodyguard nod and signed for two other bodyguards to follow him and they began to make their way over to the group. Once they were standing near them, they said,

"Miss Jones would like to meet you all backstage."

"Oh My God. I think I could pass out." Marlene squeaked. "Please don't" Sirius sighed, grabbing ahold of her shoulders and leading her to follow the three men.

As they entered the backstage, they noticed staff members running around to clean up the area. They walked pass the background dancers and singers, until they were stood in front of the dressing room.

"She's waiting for you inside."

The group entered the room to see a freshly-changed Gracie. The girl smiled lightly at all of them.

She first went to greet Sirius, her best friend, obviously.

"Hi, Sirius." She hugged the boy, "Didn't expect to meet you here again." She confessed,

"W-wait, you know each other? Again?" Lily blurted out.

"Lily, this is Gracie. She's my pen pal." He grinned, Lily's face struck with recognition.

"You didn't tell me it was THE Gracie Jones!" Lily hissed, before turning towards the girl,

"It's really nice to meet you. I've been a fan of you since your first single was released!" Lily claimed, shaking the girl's hand.

"It's nice to meet you, Lily." Gracie smiled, she couldn't help but feel envy, she knew why James was so taken with this girl, she was the sweetest person ever.

Gracie then turned towards the blonde,

"You're my girl crush." Marlene blurted out which took her aback for a brief second before a chuckle left her lips.

"Thank you, I'll take that as a very generous compliment...?"

"Marlene." The blonde replied, "Thank you, Marlene, you're really pretty."

Marlene then turned towards Sirius with wide eyes, "I can now die peacefully. Gracie Jones called me pretty."

"You are so dramatic." Sirius sighed.

Gracie then turned towards the two other boys, she first turned towards the taller one. "You must be Remus."

"Indeed I am. It's a pleasure to meet you, Gracie."

"It's the other way around, how do you like the books?" She questioned the boy.

"They're all wonderful, I can't thank you enough."

"No worries." She offered him a sweet smile before she turned towards the shorter one, "You must be Peter."

"Hi." He gave her a small shy wave, "How's your baking going? Have you tried out the recipe?"

"I have actually, they're delicious. Thank you."

She gave him a generous smile before she turned towards the last person. Locking eyes once more with those warm brown eyes.

"James."

"Hi." James breathed out.

Then there was silence, the two were just staring at each other. With the others staring back and forth at them, noticing the sexual tension between the two.

Sirius grimaced and pushed his friends out of the room, "Let's get some snacks shall we?"

"What? Why?"

"Just go!" Sirius grumbled.

When everyone else had left, there were only two of them in the dressing room.

"Hi." Gracie whispered.

"Hi." He repeated. "How are you?"

"I'm doing good, and you?" She asked, this felt so awkward.

Why was it so awkward, it wasn't this way before.

"I'm good." Silence. "Why are we being awkward." James sighed.

"I don't know." Gracie lied, wrapping her arms around herself.

"I think we both know that's a lie." She didn't give him an answer, she merely stared at him.

James then plucked up all the courage he had with him and stepped towards her, enveloping her in a hug.

"It's good to see you again, Gracie. I've missed you." He whispered.

Gracie couldn't help but hug him back despite what her brain was telling her. "And you."

"I'm sorry." James murmured to her hair, "I was confused at the time, and I made a big mistake. 'M sorry for ignoring you like that."

"S'Okay. Sirius told me." She replied softly,

At the mention of his name, James somewhat tightened his hold on her, "Did he?"

"Mhm. He's a good friend." She emphasized

"Hm."

After a few more moments, they pulled away from the hug and stood across each other. James had his hand on her hair, tucking a strand behind her ears.

"You wrote a song about me." James chuckled.

"Never said it was about you. Could be about Sirius." She mumbled, blushing lightly.

His gaze hardened at the mention of his name before he looked away, then looking back to her with a small smirk.

"He wasn't the one you were staring at when you were singing."

"Hm." She hummed, "You're right. It was Marlene." She turned away from him, a smile growing on her face.

James rolled his eyes at her teasing, before be wrapped an arm around her waist from behind and pulled her towards his chest.

"Say whatever you want but your eyes can't lie, pretty girl." He whispered in her ear, causing her to shudder.

God, she was so weak for him.

After a few more moments of comfortable silence, James spoke up,

"Can we start over?'

Gracie turned around in confusion, "What do you mean?"

"Let's start over." He said, extending his hand out, "Hi, I'm James Potter."

A smile broke out on her face as she took his extended hand, "Gracie Jones."
