Reader's POV
My heart was beating incredibly fast as I gasped and shot up in my bed. It had been some time since I had that nightmare of the day that my Uncle had given his life to protect my own and ensure I escaped from the first hunters that had been sent after me. But just when I thought the literal nightmare of being constantly on the run had been over, an involuntary nightmare had decided to plague me in my sleep.

I panted and hid my face inside my hands as tears threatened to spill from my eyes. But then I remembered that I was not entirely alone. I uncovered my eyes and tentatively looked to the other side of the room, where Mirabel was sleeping contentedly. Seeing her sleeping form cuddling her pillow with a happy-looking smile on her face pulled me from my sadness and fear, if only for a moment. I couldn't disturb her, so I quickly tiptoed outside and just as I shut the door, I whispered,

"Casita, I'm sorry to bother you, but do you know of a place where I can go to clear my head? I don't want to disturb any of the Madrigals, but I......I just need to let out some tears."

Just then, I could feel the magical house begin to move the floor tiles under my feet. The Casita gently guided me down the hall and up a small series of stairs before stopping momentarily in front of a door. I was only able to catch a fleeting glimpse of a carving of a very familiar looking person on the door before I was ushered into the room that laid beyond it. With the Casita still propelling my feet forward, I was taken through a waterfall made of what looked like sand before being moved up an extremely tall set of stairs. However, before I could comprehend my surroundings, I found that I had stopped. In front of me was yet another door, but it looked much more simpler than the first one I had passed through. I looked at the doorknob, which was engraved with an elegant "B", before I felt the Casita gently nudging me.

"Where did you bring me, Casita?"

The house simply nudged me again, almost like it wanted me to knock on the door. I sighed before complying with its wishes.

Nothing.

Confused, I knocked again.

This time, I could hear a loud yawn coming from the other side. Then a muffled "Hold on a second! I'm coming!"

Just then, I recognized the voice. And the significance of the "B" on the doorknob. I put two and two together and it all made sense.

"Casita, why did you bring me to Bruno's room? I know you meant well, but I don't want to bother him! He's probably tired!"

I looked on the ground for any sign of the magical house, but I heard, nor saw, any.
I almost got the feeling that the Casita was not answering me on purpose, but that thought exited my mind once the door was thrown open.

Bruno's POV

I opened the door to my room, expecting to see my mother or another member of the family, but instead I was greeted by the (h/c) form of (y/n). I took in her nightgown-clothed from and her tear stained cheeks before I spoke.

"Oh, hola (y/n). What's wrong? Is something that matter?"

Her eyes flickered to the side before going back to my direction.
"Um, I guess. I had a nightmare and asked the Casita if there was a place I could go to compose myself without disturbing anyone, but they appear to have brought me here for some reason. I'm sorry, I should just go.",
she said as she turned to go back down the long flight of stairs. But before she could reach the first step, I darted after her and grabbed one of her hands to stop her. She turned and her (e/c) eyes met mine once again as I spoke.

"No, it's ok! You can stay here for as long as you'd like! I'm a light sleeper, so it's not like you're bothering me at all! If anything, that's probably why the Casita brought your here in the first place!"

"I wouldn't want to impose...."

"You're not imposing at all! Don't worry about it!"

And with that, I led her into the room in my tower that was reserved for non-vision related things.

Upon entering Bruno's room

Upon entering Bruno's room. I noticed that the walls were covered in rocks, almost like a cave. A small bed sat in one corner, a dresser in another, and a small table and chairs in the last corner. Bruno gestured for me to sit at one of the chairs, and he took the other as I sat down.

"So (y/n), do you want to talk about it? Your nightmare, I mean? It's ok if you don't, but I'll listen if you feel like you need to talk it out."

I nodded in confirmation before I begun to recount what happened. As I told Bruno of the early days with my Tio Emiliano, his eyes twinkled as he listened intently with a grin on his face. But as I spoke about the sacrifice my Tio made to save my life, his grin morphed into a look of sadness. As I finished, I noticed that I had tears spilling out of my eyes once more. My eyes became downcast as I wrapped my arms around myself and allowed the tears to fall freely. As I looked down, I didn't notice that Bruno had left his seat and crouched beside mine. His thumb gently wiped my tears away before he pulled my form towards his shoulder. I cried into his shoulder for what seemed like half an hour as he rubbed comforting circles onto my back.

Bruno's POV
After a while, I noticed that (y/n) had managed to cry herself to sleep. As I gathered the (h/c) woman into my arms, laid her onto my bed, and pulled the covers over her sleeping form, I whispered "Buenas Noches, (y/n). Sleep well."

After I turned away from her, I realized that I needed a place to sleep. Just then, I had an idea.

"Casita, can you make me a hammock?"

And I watched as a long green hammock was set up in the corner next to the foot of the bed where (y/n) was.
"Gracias, Casita." I yawned before climbing into it and drifting off into a sleep of my own.
