- Shawn's POV

"(Y/N)? Are you there?" I knocked on my girlfriend's door, asking the permission to enter.

"Come in!" She mumbled with a sniff and I could already sense something's wrong.

And I was right.

I entered the room and I saw my girlfriend sitting on the floor, holding her phone as tears started trickling down her very beautiful face.

I sat right next down to her, pulling her into a soft embrace.

"What's wrong babe?" I mumbled against her hair. "Is something bothering you?"

She remained silent and I nodded. I understand that she needs some peace and quiet, but I just want to help my girl to be happy.

"Shh. Shh. Stop crying now." I mumbled, stroking her arm. She adjusted her head onto my lap as I can feel the tears drop onto the surface of my pants.

She kept on crying and crying. I helped on soothing her by stroking her back and her hair, the favorite things she always loves me to do.

After quite a while, she stopped crying and silence filled the atmosphere of the room.

"Do you want to talk about it or do you want me to run you a soothing bath?" I question breaking the icy silence of the atmosphere.

"Go check my phone Shawn." She faintly mumbled, pointing towards her phone.

I grabbed her phone, opened it using my saved thumbprint and I couldn't believe what I was reading.

Some of my fans are sending hate to my girlfriend. But why? I checked some of the tweets and it did really hurt. They were accusing her that she's just flirting with me for attention. I wouldn't expect this happening.

"So, this is what are you crying about?" I paused. "All of these tweets?"

She mumbled a yes and I stood up, pulling her to stand up too.

She stood up and I stared at her beautiful eyes not even bothering her red, blotchy face. She was just so beautiful.

"I'm going to run you a nice bath and we'll work things out, okay?" I assured, pecking her lips.

She nodded and a little bit later found her smiling again.

While (y/n) was taking a bath, I placed my Mac on the coffee table and signed in onto YouNow.

I pulled out my phone and opening Twitter as well. I composed a new tweet with a selfie of mine attached to it saying:

"@ShawnMendes: Hey guys! Tune in into YouNow in the next 10 minutes. Huge surprise for you all xoxx"

I clicked sent and I can hear the closing of the bathroom door. I ran up to her room and I laughed at her reaction.

"What do you think you're doing Mendes?" She asked, struggling to put her hands on her hips while keeping her towel wrapped around her.

"Nothing nothing." I chuckled.

I rummaged through her closet, taking out a grid plain tee, leggings, a pair of underwear and throwing it onto her bed.

"Now, go change please. Come down after." I requested, leaving the room.

I sat down back at the couch and I can see half a million of people are all waiting for me to go online.

"(Y/N)? Are you done yet?" I yelled sounding a little impatient.

"I'm coming, I'm coming." She mumbled as she ran down the stairs in her cute outfit I planned out. Damn that ass.

"Stop checking my ass out Shawn." She sticked out her tongue, taking a seat next to me.

I let out a little laugh as I pressed the spacebar which made me go online.

"Hello YouNow!" I laugh. I glanced at (y/n) and I can see her smile on her face. That bath did really do the work.

"Well, today I have something very important to talk about." I paused. "A lot of you have been sending a lot of hate to my best friend (y/n) over here because rumors are spreading that we are dating."

Before I continue, I pulled (y/n) down on the floor next to me and interlaced our hands together.

"Are you ready?"

"More than ready." She smiled back.

I look back at the camera and kissed our interlaced hands, "Guys, it's official. We are together and I don't want you to hate on her or anything. Please."

"Always remember that you guys still have a place in my heart, you're always going to be my number one." I continued. "But please, think of her as a new addition to the Mendes Family. I love her and as long as she's happy, I'm happy."

"And don't worry guys, I'll make sure I'm always happy for his sake." (Y/N) laughed. Damn, that laugh made my heart melt.

"I love you guys so much. Thank you for understanding. Always remember, you guys are my number one." I said, giving a flying kiss and shutting down my Mac.

"Shawn?" (Y/N) mumbled.

"Hmh?"

"I love you. Thank you so much."

I grinned.

"I love you too babe."
