Chapter: 14

~Rhett's point of view~

Link ran out of the doctors office. "I'll be right back, Mr. McLaughlin." Dr. Winford told me. As I waited for the pain killers I felt really bad for yelling like that. Poor Link...

I was interrupted with my thoughts when the doctor walked in. He had rubber gloves on. "Where does is hurt?" He asked. I pointed to the back of my head. I winced in pain as he touched the back of my head. Suddenly, he walked out of the room.

A few seconds later he came back and clicked his pen. "Well, we do see a little bit of blood, but that's about it. I suggest you try not to touch it for a few days, I know it might be hard, but please try not to." Dr. Winford stated. I nodded. He looked down at his clip board for a minute, then he looked at me. "So, we're going to prescribe you some pills for the pain. It's nothing serious or anything, but it might hurt for a couple of days. We have some pills right now that you can take to numb the pain. Have you ever taken Oxycodone?" He asked me.

"Uh... Yeah it was for the same kind of thing that it's going to be for now." I told him throw clenched teeth.

"Alright, so we're going to give you one right now, and depending on how bad the pain is, I want you to take Tylenol. We don't usually prescribe this pill, but I would say from your face and actions, your pain is about a ten, right?" He asked with a smirk. I nodded. The doctor left and came back with a pill and a cup of water. "I'll go prescribe your medication." He told me. I took the pill and gulped down the water. After about five minutes the pain was completely gone.

A minute after that the doctor handed me a piece of paper. "Have a good evening, Mr. McLaughlin." Dr. Winford smiled.

I smiled back before saying, "You too." I walked over to my car and noticed Link was sleeping. He looks so adorable when he sleeps. I quietly got into my car and started it.

After I got my medication from the drugs store I went to a hotel room.

After I checked out a room, I carefully lifted Link up. I saw him smile and snuggle into me. I smiled at his cute sleeping face.

When I got into our room I carefully set him onto the bed and covered him up. I laid beside him and kissed his cheek.

"I love you, Link. I always have. I'm sorry I yelled, I never want to hurt you. Ever." I whispered softly. I played with his hair for a few minutes before turning around and drifting off to sleep.
