chapter thirteen - hospital wing

Severus PoV

"Here's your sleeping druaght" I entered my quarters to see her no where seen

I checked her room, my room, my office, everywhere but she's not seen anywhere. My worry built up scared where she's at, why isn't she here. Did she go back to her dorm? Suddenly someone knocked at my door so I opened and it's Albus

"Severus, you're in need right now" He said to me

"Albus, what is it? Mt daughter is missing right now"

"It's about her and Harry"

My thoughts compiled in one spot focused to what he just said. He knew where my daughter is at.

"Where is she?" I asked

"Hermione came to my office and told me Eleonore approached Harry to save the stone from who he believed you.

"They're there now? We must go now"

I ran as fast as I could to the third floor but stopped once infront of the room with the three headed dog. Albus who already came to me took out his wand and played the harp with a spell making the dog to sleep. We went inside and to the location of the stone to see my daughter laying down on the floor not moving. My heart sank down to my stomach.

My eyes couldn't see her in this condition. She put herself in danger, again and I failed to put her away from harm. This wasn't the promise I made to Lily by the time I adopted her.

I went to her and carried her to the hospital wing. She tried to move on the way there but I simply told her to stay still.

"Eleonore sweetheart, please hold on" I told her

I lied her body on the exact same bed when I placed her due to the troll incident. Pomfrey rushed to me and help to get rid of her pain. Dumbledore who was carrying Harry came in and put Harry's passed out body beside her.

I've stayed in the hospital wing again for the second time in the same year for days taking care of Eleonore. She's awake but very weak to do anything. Sometimes, there would be tears coming down from her face but I had no idea what caused her to cry. On the last day of school, she finally sat up and spoke.

"Dad, I'm sorry! Really sorry" She apologized to me and called me Dad

"What for?"

She began to cry so I sat by her bed and hugged her tight rocking her to calm down.

"I saw my parents on the mirror, they were smiling at me. My biological parents were there and smiled at me." She cried

"Your parents are still here with you, always" I told her

"I'm scared. I'm scared losing people close to me, losing the people I love. I'm scared losing you and my brother and-" She said and hearing this broke my heart

"Eleonore, look at me. I'll always be there for you, same goes with your brother. He'll always be there for you too. As much as I dislike him, he's still my daughter's twin brother so I won't stop you to be with your brother."

Her tears kept on dripping and she cried silently. I wiped her tear and told her everything is alright. I hugged her tight again and she fell asleep in my chest. I lay her down for her to sleep. I hope she won't face kind of depression. She's too young to face all of this. However, for trauma I couldn't say, she just witnessed her brother trying to be killed by a Professor.

Eleonore's PoV

I woke up to see myself still in the hospital wing in the same bed as the last incident. I just saw my brother trying to be killed by Professor Quirrell. I was close of losing another family member. I can't lose him or my father, Professor Snape. They're the only ones I have left.

My father then came with a tray of food.

"Eleonore, please eat now. You have refused to eat for the past 3 days, your body has got thinner nearly as thin when you first came here to Hogwarts" My father told me

"Where's Harry? Is he alright?" I asked him

"He's alright. He just got out of the hospital when you were asleep and came to visit you 30 minutes ago" He told me while setting the table to put the food for me to eat

"May I see him please?"

"You're allowed to see him later but now, please eat"

I ate the food that was on the table. It all tasted so good. It's the same meal I'd have for dinner but this tasted 20x much better. Almost done with my food, I suddenly realized I missed 2 of my exams.

"Dad" I called him

"Yes?" He replied me while brushing my hair

"What about my potions and charms exam? I missed both exams"

"Professor Flitwick has agreed to give you a retest once you're feeling better. As for your potions exam, you'll have your exam a day after your charms examination" He told me and finished tieing mt hair

"Thankyou" I thanked him

"You don't have to thank me for allowing you for a retes-"

"No, I mean thankyou for being here with me by my side not leaving me" I told him looking at him

"It's my job sweetie. I'll always be there for you and if anything happens, I'll be the first one by your side" He said to me and I hugged him

I finished my food then Draco, Daphne, Crabbe, Goyle and Pansy came to visit me.

"Eleonore! You're finally sitting and eating. We were all so worried about you" Draco said to me

"True. We came here everyday to visit you and brought you snacks but I think it's no longer here." Daphne said and they all looked at my bedside table.

"Dad, when will I be able to leave?" I asked my father

"You're discharged tomorrow after lunch. I'll wait outside for you to talk to your friends" He said and walked off

"We were supposed to win the house cup you know and Gryffindor last but Dumbledore made Gryffindor win by giving points to the trio and Longbottom."

"That's actually nice, my brother's house wins after years of Slytherin winning. I do wsnt my house to win but I'm happy for him"

They all rolled their eyes but understood me.

"He also gave you special rewards 50 points" Daphne said to me

"Really?" I asked them all and they nodded

"I'm discharged after lunch tomorrow so I won't be able to go with you to on the train to kings' cross station. I'll miss you all" I said to them

"We'll miss you too. Dont forget to owl each other this summer okay?"

We all nodded and talked for a little bit more. After 30 minutes, my father came in and told them to leave and asked me to sleep but I just couldn't sleep.

"I can't sleep"

"Just close your eyes" He said while closing the privacy curtains

"I have slept this afternoon, I'm not sleepy"

"No, you need your sleep and I'll be here watching you until you're really asleep. I won't leave you but I must make sure you're really sleeping" He told me while

"Fine" I closed my eyes and not long after I fell alseep
