The next morning, Tommy tried to get out of bed as quietly as he could without want the sleeping beauty next to him as he turned to admire how beautiful and peaceful Nora looked while sleeping as none of the worries or stresses of their lives could touch her while she was in dreamland. He gently kissed her on the cheek before leaving the bedroom as he knew that he needed to head over to the Shelby house across the road to grab everything he needed for his trip to London since they had stayed at Nora's childhood home impulsively due to her high emotions. Part of him wished that he could prevent the darkness of his world from infecting her like he knew it would but he also knew that Nora already knew of much about the darkness he lived in and as much as a part of it as he was. Stepping out of the Shelby house, Tommy tried to mentally prepare himself for what was to come from their visit to London before his thoughts were distracted by the sight of his love in a bright yellow dress waiting for him outside her house despite his efforts to not disturb her from her sleep.

^Nora's 1st outfit^
" what are you doing up? It's still so early" Tommy said as he gently cupped her cheek as he could see that she dressed in a hurry to catch him and was still in a sleepy haze as he worried about her
" did you really expect to sneak off to London and not say goodbye?" Nora said thinking about lay waiting for him in London as she knew that the whole of London would soon known about the blinders
" I suppose not... are you going to be okay here on your own?" Tommy said hating the fact that he was effectively leaving alone and defensively to anyone who might want to take advantage of their absence
" I'll be fine and I'm not on my own, I have Pol and it's not like the betting shop is going to be empty today" Nora said knowing she was going to be too busy to even have time to miss or so she hoped
" just what I needed, you spending more time with my aunt Polly" Tommy said knowing there was a threat of turning into Polly as he was aware that some of her tendencies were similar to his aunt's
" it could be worse, I could spend some time with Esme but I'm not sure she'd survive that" Nora said knowing that she had always struggled making meaningful friendships with other female unlike with men
" be nice" Tommy said not wanting to come back to see her or Esme bloody from a fight since he knew that things between them and his brother and his wife were teetering on the edge as it was right now
" as long as you're careful" Nora said before reaching up in her tiptoes as she pulled him into a passionate kiss that left him wanting more as he began to deepen the kiss as he wanted nothing more than to take her back to bed
" woah...put her down, Tommy! Otherwise you'll pregnant all over again" Arthur said as he came to join them as the couple broke apart as Arthur smiled at the glare that Nora was giving him for his comment
