^Nora's 1st outfit^
It had a few months since that day where Tommy had showed Nora the country house that he planned to make into their home and since Nora revealed to him that she was carrying his baby, she was now currently sporting a more rounded bump due to being almost five months along that seemed to be more noticeable due to her previously small frame and was highlighted more in the long sleeved fitted black dress she was wearing. To say that life had thrown another spanner in the works for the Shelby family was an understatement as they found themselves in the cemetery on a dull bleak English day as the buried one of their own as Freddie had died due to Pestilence leaving behind a grieving Ada and his young son, Ada had decided that Freddie should be buried in Birmingham rather than in London where they had moved to. As everyone began to gather around the freshly dug ground as it seemed like the weather was reflecting the sadness of the occasion as the rain fell down hard on the mourners. As the minister spoke, Tommy waited for his turn as he held Nora close to him knowing he needed the comfort she provided by simply being there for him
" are you okay? If you're cold, you can have my coat" Tommy said in quietly in her ear as he worried about her as he felt her shriver against him as he looked down to see her hand resting on her bump
" I'm okay, don't worry about me" Nora said softly as she looked over to where Ada was standing as she tried to hold her emotions in despite the fact that they were about to bury the love of her life
" I always worry about you and I always will, just don't let of my hand" Tommy said as he knew that while they were currently burying someone else's loved one they he needed his to be close as they tuned back i
" And give him peace. Amen" the minister said as he concluded his own speech about death related to religion as he nodded towards Tommy who had agreed to speak at the funeral on Freddie's behalf
" Amen" everyone who was gathered said as Nora took a moment to wipe her tears away as she looked over towards Ada to see how she was coping to see that she was looking strong but knew she was about to crumple
" I promised my friend Freddie Thorne that I'd say a few words over his grave if he should pass before me. I made this promise before he became me brother-in-law. When we were in France, fighting for the King and in the end it wasn't war that took Freddie. Pestilence took him but Freddie passed on his soul and his spirit to a new generation before he was cruelly taken" Tommy said as he looked to his nephew
" amen... you spoke really well, I'm proud of you" Nora said once he came to stand next to her again as he found comfort and reassurance in her touch as Freddie's coffin begin to be lowered to the ground
" thank you, my love... I should go check on Ada and Karl but I'll be right back" Tommy said kissing her on the cheek before he turned to leave her to go to his sister as she looked around the graveyard
