A/N- so I've had a pretty case of writers block with just writing in general and I couldn't really find a way of carrying in with this story but I think splitting up the two year gap into two different chapter is a good way around that and of handling it especially because I felt that a chapter or two was needed before heading right into season 2. Anyway this chapter is a small filler chapter to just set somethings out for season two so I hope it works and that you like. Let me know but please be kind

^Nora's dress^

It had been a year filled with hard work since the showdown in the streets between Tommy and Billy Kimber as the Shelby family worked hard at trying to built their new legitimate betting show with their new official licence, Tommy knew that conquering Kimber would only be the start of establishing himself an their gang as the new leaders in the betting game especially considering the relationship that they had previously created for themselves. He knew all too well that the Peaky Blinders were seen as nothing more than thugs with razors in their caps which was where Nora came into things for him, she helped with creating image that they needed as his advisor as she knew that part of that image was making a show of their legal dealings instead of the illegal. However despite his best efforts, Tommy couldn't make Nora commit her role as his adviser full time as she still insisted on working at the Garrison which was where she was right now as she stood at the bar currently working on the books for the pub for Arthur

" Nora, what are you doing? You're kinda killing the vibe with the strict office girl thing that you have going on right now" Arthur said as he came out of the side room to see her working on the books

" unless you want to do your books for this place on your own then don't cross me" Nora said giving him a firm look as she looked from her work to see him heading towards her despite her warning

" hey, I know better than do that but why aren't you in the office?" Arthur said knowing that this wasn't the first time that he had caught her working on the books at the bar rather than sitting in the office by herself

" because we don't have enough staff to cover me being locked away in the office all day plus I like being out in the open, I don't well caged in" Nora said knowing she had this argument many times

" how is the books looking?" Arthur said as he knew that he never appreciate Nora more than when he took over the Garrison since he didn't really know anything about the more official things about running a pub

" well we're doing enough to do stay afloat, we'd probably do better if the Peaky blinders didn't drink so  much or for free" Nora said with a tilt of her head as she knew that was what happened to most of their alcohol

" you know the rules" Arthur said with a smile as he thought about the rules that applied to their Peaky blinder customers as he noticed how tired and strained she looked as he began to worry about her
