(Natasha waves goodbye to Bruce as he drives away. She then turns to an apartment building and enters into a long lobby)

Nat- So this is were you live. Huh interesting

Nat walks up to the front desk and asks for Alex's apartment number. Then Alex appears behind them and condescendingly coughs

Alex- Look who came to visit, my long lost friend. What do I owe the pleasure of keeping company

Nat turns around with a smirk on her face. She then follows up with crossing her hands and smiles when she notices a young man peaking up behind Alex's legs. She then looks back up at Alex

Nat- I see you have a very cute stowaway on you

Alex- Well so do you (glares at her bump)

Nat- Ha ha ha

Alex- Ok, what brings you by my kneck of the woods

Nat- The boys are having a guys day and I need some actual human contact

Alex- So you've been spending all this time with Bruce and just now think about other people. Wow that's intense or it's just sad well whatever the case, sure you can tag along on a shopping spree with my kid. Of course you'll soon get to feel this rewarding no salary job of motherhood for us veterans.

Nat- (Natasha looks down at her bump and slowly looks back up at Alex with a drained look) let's just go run your errands.

Alex- (Turns around to look at Natasha) You're still not comfortable with being called mom right?

Nat- It's more complicated than that but sure that's what's going on

Alex- You know I wasn't made for this kind of life. But I had a kid and adapted to him and his needs. One of the few things we can thank our creators of is adapting to many situations. Including kids

Nat nods her head in agreement. Both women take a stroller out and head into a medium sized grocery store and start scowling the aisles. First they hit the fruit and deli then they moved to the dairy section, which some cheese smelled weird and or curdally to Nat. Afterwards they bought some laundry detergent and a new lint roller plus toiletries.

Finally once things were settled in Alex's apartment they went on a small walk to the nearby park. Alex and Natasha sit down on a bench as they watch Dante play around in the Sand and the jungle gym. For awhile they just watch him play he then walks up to his mom.

Dante- Momma can you swing me?

Alex- (smiles and then gets up. Signaling for Natasha to follow them) Ok young man get in this swing or else I'm going to go back and watch you

Dante- Noo, I wann us to play

(Alex bends down and picks up Dante then places him in the baby swing and gently pushes him forward. She looks and smiles at Nat)

Alex- (yells over) COME ON OVER.

Nat- Alright. (Walks over) So what do you want me to do?

Alex- Just help me push him for a bit until he gets sleepy

Nat- Is that why we went to the park?

Alex- Yes, it helps him take longer naps and I need my me time sometimes plus the extension. Now push or stand there looking silly

Nat- I think that's just you. Do you really have to do this just for me time

Alex- It's one of a couple reasons but yeah. It can also be because he gets bored with his routine and this districts him. Good exercise habit creation but if you really want fansy then you could also say good mother son bonding or whatever you're baby turns out to be.

(Natasha looks over at the swing and gently nods her head in agreement)

She is very quiet and reserved for the rest of the hour and a half. After this quick detour they head back to Alex's apartment and leave her grocery in her small kitchen. Alex takes a sleepy Dante up stairs and puts him to bed and heads back down to the main space. She notices Nat sitting on her couch looking down at her hands holding her bump lost in thought.

Alex then goes over to get Natasha attention. Natasha looking up meets her gaze up with Alex. They both are now sitting on the couch look over at a small picture frame of Dante.

Alex- So what do you want to know about having kids

Nat- I want to know if I can do this

Alex- You got married, How long ago was that?

Nat- (Gives Alex a side eye then rolls her eyes) 1 year about to be 2

Alex- How many were you two together before getting married?

Nat- six years now we'll technically 7

Alex- Well being married is the exact same emotional demand on you as having a kid. Ok slightly different but almost the exact same consideration of other people's feelings (Gives her a sligh look) considering you have little emotional connection to most people

Nat- (sighs) You and I are the same and yet you seem better in the feelings department. But what's your point other than the

Alex- Well firstly I had Bruce to teach me proper reactions to emotions as well as how to express them. I then adapted with the use of that information

Nat- So you've used him and then felt bad so you stayed

(Alex gets up and goes to check up on Dante. She then comes back with him rapped up in a blanket she sits down with him curled up in her arm and turns looking at Natasha)
