Harry:

"No way!" you gasp, clutching your stomach as you laugh hard at one of the stories Anne was telling you about a childhood Harry, "He didn't do that did he?". "Oh yeah," she urges, leaning over so her hand was resting on your arm, "And then, if it wasn't bad enough, he announced to the whole room he needed a poo! I was mortified,". "Now... now," Harry frowns beside you, and you turn to look at him, a grin still on your face as you squeeze his knee, "Enough discussion about my childhood bowel movements thank you very much,". You weren't concentrating as he continued however, your eyes focusing on the smoke starting to creep beneath the bottom of the kitchen door. "I don't believe this," you almost scream, jumping up and rushing into the kitchen, choking slightly as you hurry to open the windows wide to clear the room of smoke. "It's ruined," you sigh, pulling out the charcoaled remains of a roast chicken. Harry bends over laughing, and you look over at him with a scowl as you drop the meat into the bin, muttering under your breath, "It's not funny,". "Oh it is," he chuckles, moving towards you and wrapping his arms around your waist, despite your struggles, "At least one of us can cook without burning it,". He kisses your nose playfully as you roll your eyes, silently agreeing - your cooking skills were pretty rubbish. You pull away from your boyfriend, looking over at Anne sadly, "I'm sorry Anne. You've come all this way and me being the idiot I am ruined it,". She walks over to you, smile in place as she rubs both your arms reassuringly, "Don't be silly, it's not ruined at all since I get to see my son and his girlfriend," she smiles genuinely, and you instantly feel somewhat better. "Come on," Harry interrupts, offering each of you one of his arms as he guides you out of the room, "Let's go find a restaurant to eat at,".

Zayn:

"I don't like mash potatoes," Safaa perks up as you stand at the head of the table. You smile, nodding, "Okey dokes, no potatoes for Safaa - is there anything else people don't like?". Your eyes widen slightly as all but Zayn at the table shout out their preferences, and you nod, pretending you heard a word of it before heading into the kitchen, too embarrassed to ask again. You rest against the kitchen counter, running your fingers through your hair - this was more stressful than you'd expected, you really wanted to impress Zayn's family. "You want a hand?" you jump at the sound of a voice, and spin around to face the kitchen door to find Patricia leaning in the doorway. You pull a sheepish face at her as you sigh, "If you don't mind, I'm sorry,". She waves off your apologies and makes her way over to join you by the counter, helping you dish up, "It's not your fault my lot are a fussy lot - don't worry about it sweetheart,". You shrug, "I just wanted today to go well, you know..." you trail off, blushing when you realize what you'd just confessed to your boyfriends mother. You look over when you feel a hand rest on your arm, and you find Patricia looking at you with a warm smile, "It's been great love, honestly, thank you for having us. This food smells delicious too,". You smile back, and the two of you get to work piling up the plates, before handing them out at the table. "And no mashed potatoes for Safaa," you say finally, handing over the plate to Zayn's little sister, and taking your own seat. Zayn's hand wanders onto your lap, taking your hand in his and giving it a tight squeeze. You look over at him curiously, to find him staring hard at you, "What?" you mumble. "I love you, you know?," he grins, leaning forward to kiss your forehead.

Louis:

"Can I sit on your knee?" Phoebe looks up at you, eyes wide, and you can't help but chuckle because it's exactly the same puppy dog face Louis pulls when he wants to get his way. "No," Daisy whines beside her sister, "I want to sit on (Y/N)'s knee, tell her,". "Well neither of you can sit on her knee," Louis teases, pretending to flick their noses before settling himself on your lap, "Because I'm sitting on her knee,". The twins erupt into giggles, as Louis pulls silly faces at you, trying to get a kiss off you. "Well I've got to finish making dinner," you announce, pushing Louis off your knees, gently enough so that he has time to catch himself before he hits the floor, and then you turn to the girls, "Do you two want to come and help me? You could help me make the cake,". "Yes please," they chorus, (it was freaky how in unison they could be), and they each take one of your hands as you guide them into the kitchen. Once you set them up mixing the cake batter, you turn your attention back to the roast dinner, pulling the chicken carefully out of the oven. "Phoebe, Daisy, where have you got to?" you hear Jay call out before stepping into the kitchen, "Oh girls, I hope you haven't been bothering Y/N,". They shake their heads, grinning cheesily, and you just chuckle. "They're no problem Jay, they've been my little cooking fairies haven't you?" you look over at them with a grin on your face, they were too cute really. "Yup," Daisy confirms, before Phoebe carries on, "We've been making the pudding,". Jay laughs, "Oh I'll be steering clear of that then," before moving closer to you, a hand resting on your forearm, "Thank you,". You roll your eyes, "It's no problem Jay, we've had fun,".

Niall:

"And you know," Bobby continued between mouthfuls, "He never gave up. And he did right - look where he is now? Biggest boy band in the world, my boy,". You can't help but grin as you look between Niall and his father, noticing the faint blush of your boyfriend's cheeks, and the sheer admiration in his father's eyes. "OK dad, I think she gets the point," Niall frowns, and from the faint bang it sounds as if he'd kicked his Dad's foot under the table, "That's enough of all that rubbish,". "I will never stop Ni," he laughs, "I'm bloody well proud of you, as I should be - I just still can't get over it,". "You should have seen him the other day," you chip in, a small smirk spreading across your features, "He bumped into Michael Buble in the airport, absolutely freaked out,". "Really?" Bobby manages to wheeze out between mouthfuls, "Not changed at all have you Nialler? I'm glad,". "Hey," Niall scowls, poking your arm with the handle end of his fork, "I thought you were meant to be on my side,". You smile angelically back at him before turning your attention back to his dad, "Would you like anymore Mr. Horan?". "How many times have I told you," he rolls his eyes, patting his stomach contentedly, "It's Bobby to you - and I'm fine thanks sweetheart, I think I've eaten enough to last me a week, it was stunning,". You blush slightly at his comment, muttering a thanks before you start piling up plates and taking them into the kitchen. You pause in the doorway before heading back into the dining room, and you find yourself listening, despite feeling bad in that you were eaves dropping. "You've got a great girl there Niall," Bobby's voice practically echoed around the apartment, and you couldn't help but smile, "Look after her cause I don't think you can find any better anywhere else".

Liam:

"Thank you so much for having us sweetheart," Karen thanks you for what feels like the hundredth time, hugging you on the doorstep. "Don't worry about it Karen, it's been a really great night," you smile genuinely - it was true, you always enjoyed spending time with Liam's family. "Ah Liam, come here," she almost cooes pulling her son in for a hug before joining the rest of the family in the car. You and Liam stand in the doorway, waving after the car until it turns the corner. Back in the house the two of you start clearing up after the Sunday dinner you'd just had. "What are you smirking at?" Liam raises an eyebrow, looking at you suspiciously as you gather up plates in your arms. You look up at him with a smile, "You're the absolute spit of your mum, all your mannerisms," you notice him blush slightly, which makes you chuckle, "It's so cute,". "Hmm, cute's not too bad of a thing I guess..." he mumbles, following you into the kitchen with his own handful of dishes. "Don't be daft," you roll your eyes, turning to wrap your arms around his waist once both of you had put down the things in your hands, "It's a great thing, your mum is amazing. I love your family,". You blush slightly, having never said it so bluntly to him before, but he smiles down at you, his hand stroking your cheek gently. "And they love you too you know," he assures you, kissing you gently, "Ruth is obsessed with your clothes," he laughs, "She keeps hinting at me to get you to sort out a shopping trip between the two of you,". "That's great," you push at his chest playfully, "Why haven't you said sooner? Give me her number,". "No," he teases, holding his phone above his head, "She might tell you embarrassing stories about me and that wouldn't be good!".
