"Come on, Chloe!" Jacob called from the water.

I wrapped my arms tightly around my chest. This day has been far out amazing, hanging with Jay is so much fun. Usually it would kill me to be in the same room, now it just feels different, you know? Jacob has his secrets, but underneath all that bitter sweet, hate. He's a good person. Despite most of his flaws, I'm starting to enjoy his company. I don't know what is happening between us but it's starting to freak me out. Dipping my feet into the water Jacob pulled me in. "Jay!!" I held on to his neck, the water is so deep. He laughed, brushing hair from his eyes. My breathing hitched as I noticed our position, my legs wrapped around his waist and his hands on my lower waist. We're so close and I couldn't help to bite my lip as Jacob stared at me with hungry eyes. Did he want to kiss me? Did I want to kiss him? Jacob leaned forward and I panicked. Splashing him in the face I swam the opposite direction and forced a laugh "Next time don't pull me in Mister"

Jacob had his usual smirk and chuckled "Remind me to never do that again" his smirk faded and he exited the water.

"Where are you going?"

"Anywhere but here"

I was confused and irritated. Did I do something wrong? Was he mad that I didn't let him kiss me? Getting out the water he groaned "Don't follow me Chloe" he gritted his teeth.

I reached for his arm "Jacob wh-"

He jerked his hand back and dissappeared into the woods leaving me alone.

Grabbing my clothes, I headed in the opposite direction. Why can't we just get along? When it comes to Jacob everything is so diffilcult. Why can't he be more like...Matt?

When I made it home, Matt was surprisingly on the couch. No one else was home yet and I wondered if Jacob had arrived.

"Did Jacob come in yet?" I asked him. Matt crossed his arms and shook his head. Walking towards the couch I took a seat, looking at Matt he had mud on his cheek. Brushing it off "Are you okay?"

Matt sighed "Nina broke up with me" I can't believe she did that! Matt really liked this girl and she just ended it just like that?

Wrapping my arm's around him "I'm so sorry Matt" I heard the door shut. Matt squeezed me tight "That means so much to me Chloe"

I heard loud foot steps storm upstairs. Moving back a little from his tight grasp "Who was that?"

Matt grinned "Jacob"

I was about to get up but Matt held me in place "Don't worry about him, i'm sure he's fine. Besides we never hang out with each other anymore. It's always him."

Matt's words sunk in and I felt bad because he's absolutely right. Most of the time i'm either with Jacob or Riley. Matt and I really don't hang out like we did.

I smiled "Well, we can do something together right now"

He chuckled "Like?"

Tapping my chin I jumped up, grabbing his arm I led him outside. Tossing him the water hose I went over to the faucet. Turning the water on, Matt splashed me with water.

"Matt!" I laughed, running towards him. He ran and still managed to get me soaked "Haha, aww look at you all soak and wet. Like a lost puppy!"

I tackled Matt right into the mud making him all wet and muddy. Grabbing a fist full of mud as he squirmed underneath me. "Hold still you dirty little chipmunk!" I teased as he laughed. Splattering the mud all over his face. "Ahh!!" Matt grabbed my arms flipping me over so he was on top. Splattering wet mud all over my clothes.

Placing my hand on his chest as we couldn't control our laughter. This was fun like so much fun. Matt stopped laughing and I couldn't help but blush at the way he was looking at me.

I smiled "What?" Did I have something on my face other than mud?

Matt smashed his lips on to mine, his tongue against my lips as I opened my mouth giving him more access. Am I dreaming? Or am I really making out with Matt!?

Pulling away to catch my breath I giggled "You taste like dirt"

Matt laughed placing a strand of hair behind my ear "So does that mean I can't do this again" he pecked my lips.

Butterflies erupted my stomach and I felt like a princess running off with her prince. Cheesy I know. I blushed "No.."

Matt smiled, getting off of me he helped me up. I couldn't stop smiling, all my feelings that I had for Matt reappeared. I really like him.

Getting out the shower I couldn't wait to tell Riley about the kiss. I placed my blue flowered dress on and slid on some white flips. Tonight we're going to the movies to see that scary movie "Mama"

Brushing my neatly blonde hair into a ponytail and applying some lip gloss I met the girls downstairs.

Brook took a sip of her soda "The boy's need to hurry up because i'm ready to go."

My throat began to dry because I had totally forgot about Brook and Matt. What if she gets mad at me for kissing the guy she likes. Well I liked him first.

I felt so overwhelmed I didn't realize I had just blurted out "Matt kissed me"

Brook set her can down and Riley looked stunned. "What..."

"I'm so sorry Brook it just happened and I re-"

Brook waved me off "I'm not mad and besides i'm already dating Sam"

"What!" Riley and I said in unison.

Brook smiled and began to tell us all about her and Sam's secret relationship. I couldn't say I wasn't surprised but I thought Sam was into Riley.

Sam walked downstairs and scratched the back of his head. "Matt and Jacob are still getting...dressed" he lied.

We heard a loud thud upstairs "Don't fucking talk to me!" Jacob's loud angry voice echoed the hall.

"Its not my fault that you're a bitch! You never had a chance!" Matt argued.

The door slammed and Jacob stormed downstairs. His lip was cut and bleeding from the corner of his mouth.

"Things just got awkward" Riley broke the silence.

Jacob looked really angry and I couldn't help but notice most of his glares were directed mainly at me. Not like I wasn't use to it but this glare made me want to curl up in a corner and never come back up.

Jacob walked towards me and he grabbed my arm tightly leading me quickly out the house "You're hurting me!" I screamed.

He let me go, his veins ready to pop out of his neck "What? I'm not good enough!" He yelled.

"What are you talking about it Jacob? Just calm down"

"Does it matter! Cant you see that he's just using you? But you're so stuck up his ass that you're to blind to see what's in front of you!" He stormed off towards the tree's.

My eyes watered and my throat began to dry at his word's that sent a knife through my heart. Should I run after him? My legs began to walk but Matt some how managed to stop me. He had a dark red bruise on his cheek that had a small cut. "Dont run after him....he's not worth it Chloe"

And maybe he was right.....
