CHAPTER 12
----

Less talking, more fighting!

________________________

Aizawa did surprisingly well. Well, none of the 'villains' had Chu-nin level, but I could tell that he had a fair amount of training behind his fighting ability. There was only one thing that bothered me-

"...Hehehe he, can you use your Quirk to erase our mutant form too?" a beefy man boomed as he ran toward us. I just knocked out another enemy, the Don't kill without orders - rule was getting on my damn nerves by the way.

"Nope. That only works on transformation and movement quirks." the black-haired man explained, thundering his fist into the face of the onrushing Villains. Of course. Explain your ability to everyone, maybe you want to hand out a sheet with weaknesses listed?

A woman with snake hair lunged at Aizawa from behind.

"Get down!" just at the right moment the homeless man threw himself on the ground, my foot swept over him and hit her perfectly in the stomach. The woman flew back dozens of feet and slammed into a wall, where she lay motionless.

"Less talking, more fighting!", I hissed grumpily into the homeless man's ear. He twitched briefly then nodded.

I had to admit that this scarf was an extremely useful weapon. Not only for pinning down enemies, but also for moving around and, of course, in direct hand-to-hand combat. All in all, I had to acknowledge that 'Eraserhead' had put a lot of thought into his work and rationally eliminated possible weaknesses. Impressive, for being born in such a naive world, where it was hard to get rational advice and realistically supportive lessons.

And that was the last one. Aizawa was panting, but didn't seem to have sustained any injuries aside from a few scrapes and cuts. However, his eyes worried me a bit, no, actually I wasn't really worried, it would just be annoying if he couldn't use his Quirk anymore because of something trivial like dry eyes.

I was barely sweating and loosened my muscles a bit, but without letting the two kunai out of my hand. It was ridiculous. I had actually considered for a moment getting a wooden sword with which I could easily knock out Villains in public fights.

Even if it was good training in handling them, if you fought without killing your opponent, in the end sharp weapons remained murder tools. A shinobi's weapons were designed for rapid, efficient killing, and should be used that way.

That's how it was drilled into children like me from the earliest years of life, and it was hard to quickly break habits that had been vital to survival for years.

Habits like cutting throats quickly, after a fight.

Habits like killing the victim as soon as the opportunity arose.

Habits from a world where, in the end, everyone was closest to himself.

Well, although I hadn't killed anyone, I hadn't exactly been kind to them either. Far more than three quarters of the 'villains' had broken bones, nearly half could complain of losing several limbs, and quite a few would probably never be able to fight again.

At least they were still breathing.

Nah, probably not for much longer, in case of the guy I just stepped over I could tell even through the many layers of fabric of his suit that several ribs were just about to bore into his lungs.

A suppressed scream made me spin around. Aizawa was facing the blue-haired man, holding his elbow. The skin was shredded and the bone most likely broken. Damn.

Aizawa knocked the man aside with his fist and stumbled backwards as I rushed towards them, but at that second the purple bird monster from before reappeared. I speed up once more and just at the moment it reached for Aizawa, my with chakra strengthened fist hit his jaw. For a moment it was silent. Then there was a bang and the creature's head flew to the side, but its stance remained firm.

Paper bombs seemed a good weapon these days, so I attached one of them to the creature's arm in the fall and in the next moment brought myself to safety from his blow with a roll. The bomb exploded as soon as I made sure that the homeless man and I had enough distance.

The monster roared as the paper bomb blew off his right arm and shoulder. I took a quick look at the black-haired man in my hands and realized that the bird creature had affected him after all. He was probably on the verge of unconsciousness, peering through his blood-soaked strands.

My head turned to the blue-haired villain, who was scratching the back of his neck.
"Urgh, what an unpleasant surprise." he snarled, "All Might hasn't shown up yet either." I leaned Aizawa against a wall, making sure his broken bones didn't move unnecessarily, while keeping an eye on the 'Villain'.

"Maybe he'll show up if I kill some of those kids." With that, he rushed towards the three students who were watching the fight with wide eyes - not doing anything, of course. Midoriya and the frog being his primary target. I saw the panicked look on the two greenheads' faces as they stared, frozen in fear, at the approaching man.

I jumped off and reached them just as the blue-haired reached out for the frog-like girl. Damn, a disfigured face would be really unsightly.
I flicked the kunai in my hand to the side and.... cut off the man's hand.

Quite simple.

For a moment, time stopped, blood spurted, his bright red eyes widened.
Then he screamed.

The shriek sounded shrill as he doubled over, clutching the bloody stump. He trembled all over, muttering and whispering and clawing at his blue hair.

Well, you can always play it up.

I grabbed the three children by the robe and pulled them out of the water, without caring about their paralyzed faces. I made my way to Aizawa and realized that the bird-being was standing there completely motionless. Apparently it was useless without orders. However, its arm had
completely grown back. Annoying.

Purple swaths enveloped the place and out of them emerged the portal guy. He took note of his quietly whimpering accomplice and was about to speak when the scratchy voice of the wounded man interrupted him.

"Nomu," instantly the monster's head lifted. So it has a name. "Kill her."

The Nomu didn't hesitate for a second. It let out a roar and rushed toward us. I took several steps forward, my hand hovering over the seal that was attached to my shoulder, where Kubikiri's sword hilt was usually located. I braced myself for the blow as the creature raised its fist, but it didn't get that far.

A gust of wind caught me, I felt a large hand around my waist and was pulled out of the 'danger zone' along with the other four. I wriggled out of the hold and scurried backwards, ready to attack the 'assailant'. It was a certain #1 hero.

"All Might," I stated.

"Young Momochi," I frowned at the name, eyeing the blond man. Instead of the typical smile, he wore an angered grimace. The muscle-bound hero raised his voice:

"DON'T BE AFRAID!" Okay.

"I AM ALL MIGHT!" No shit.

"I'M ON THE SPOT!" Uh-huh. Wonderful.

---------------------------------

Wow. Needed DeepL translator a lot in this one. Just writing the chapter took me like three weeks. Uhm that's kinda embarrassing, usally I can write 1000 words a day.
Yes it took some time but I think the chapter's okay. Right?

But in my defense: It's a lot of action

I'm not that experienced in writing fighting scenes, even  though I'm doing martial arts myself (Not that long tho) and read like A MILLION action books.

Anyway I hope y'all like it.
