Ink's POV

I suddenly woke up when my alarm clock rang
I stood up and turned it off then started stretching while hearing some fresh pops on my bones
I opened the window only to be greeted by fresh breeze,sun ray,and singing birds
I inhaled sharply then exhaled
"Aaah...what a beautiful day! Again..." I said as I quickly went to the bathroom to take a shower and started changing myself into a police-in-training uniform
After that,I exited my room while I always got ready my things that needed to my job
I noticed on the clock that was on the wall that it's already 7:30am
Oh shoot! I'm gonna be late!
I'm skipping breakfast for now
I was now almost there on the exit room until...I felt like I'm forgetting something...
Oh yeah my bracelet!!!
My most precious flexible bracelet!
Also my scarf! That was the only memory I had now from my dads..
I still remember the time when dad Aster sewed a brown scarf for me
I ran up to my room again and started to look around like I'm panicking so much
Then I saw them on the desk
Phew
I quickly grabbed them and run out of my room then run out of my house,then locked the doors and started running through streets

I'm now at my foster dad's company...place..
Yes...that's where I registered to be a detective..
I then quickly entered the building and saw the manager on his post
Approach him and quickly write my attendance for today
"Mwehe! Late again aren't ya?" The manager asked
I was now sweating and panting from exhaustion
"Hehe...yeah..Mr.Manager" I said
"Come on Ink! How many times I told ya just to call me Blue instead of calling me that!" He exclaimed in a bit disappointing tone
I then glanced at him
"Hehe yeah sorry but,manner and respect got the best of me" I explained awkwardly
"Ok ok whatever, go on now,you're already late" he said
I nodded and ran to the meeting room
Yep...he's been my bestfriend since last 5 years along with Dream,my foster dad's assistant...

When I opened the door and finally entered the meeting room
I could see my dad's disappointment look,he's glaring at me,giving a 'punishment later' look
It's not my fault that I'm late!
Well...uh...maybe..
I just gulped and sat down on my chair
"G-good morning guys...he he.." I shyly greeted
My foster dad was still glaring at me
"Ink,you missed your report today.." Dream said
"I-I know...I-I'm s-sorry
Can I still...ya k-know?" I stuttered
Dream let out a sigh and gave me my report for today
It was about Patience and I'm the one who'll explain what is it about
I stood up and went to the whiteboard and infront of them
"Go on Ink! You can do it!" Outer cheered for me
I gave him a warm smile
"Ya broski! Go spill dat rad report of yours!" Fresh exclaimed,they were still in training too so..that's why they're here
I looked at Dream as he just gave me a warm smile as well
I sighed and started reporting

"Okay...goodmorning again guys..
My report for today is...about Patience

As previously stated,crime-solving can take months or years.Sometimes crimes go without resolutions
Thus becoming cold cases,which can be picked up years later especially with advances in forensic technologies such as DNA analysis....." I explained and started reporting more
While I was reporting
I noticed dad's face is till creepy
The others are bored which made me sad a bit
My friends are still listening to me

After that report
We took a lunch break for a while
And it's already near to start our job again
"That was a good report again Ink!" Dream exclaimed,who was sitting right beside me
"Yup" Outer agreed
"Hehe..thanks" I thanked them
"I wish I could hear Ink's report" Blue bluntly said
"Well don't worry,but all I can tell u is,Ink's reporting is always nice!" Dream exclaimed
"But one day if you're old enough or...you went to the higher level,I will absolutely vote you for the new leader of this company!" Dream added
"Ya! Dat would be cool bruh
Maybe I can vote now for ya for the next boss!" Fresh agreed
Now I started to become nervous
I can see in the corner of my eye that my foster that is watching me
I can tell he listened to what the others told me...
Damn...

I was now reading a book of tips of becoming a detective until...
"INK INK INK!! GUESS WHAT!
I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YA!" Dream yelled as he ran towards me
I bookmark my page to where I was now and closed the book then looked up at him
"What? What is it?" I asked
"YOU ARE OFFICIALLY A DETECTIVE NOW!! CONGRATS!!!" He squealed
...
"WHAAA???" I asked and now super shock
Is this really happening..?
"YES! NOW COME ON WITH ME!" He yelled as he pulled me by my wrist and started running towards the boss's room
I gulped and feeling my fear started to rise up again
It happens every time when I pass that room

As we entered the room,we saw boss XGaster sitting on his chair,infront of him was his desk and some random papers above it
He was currently sipping his coffee
"Greetings again sir!
Here is Ink btw,all he needs now are-" Dream excitedly said but got cut off by dad
"I know I know,can you leave the room for a while please,I'm just gonna call you later" Dad said as he put down his cup of coffee
I was still in fear
Ink...u should be brave..
Come on,you're a detective now!
"Oh o-okay sir! Have a nice day!" Dream exclaimed as he exited the room
I then looked down...doesn't want to face to face with my foster dad...
