NOTE: It has been 4 days in the book even though it doesnt seem like it so, everybody is use to Raine staying there by now
Chater 8: The remote...really of all things the remote.
I was down stairs in the kitchen on my laptop, Keith and Carson were in the living room watching football or baseball one of the two. Then suddenly a video message appeared. Oh my gosh! Ashlee! I pressed the accept button and started chating.
"Raine!'
"Ashlee!" I squealed back
"Dude! Where have you been?! Wait...thats not what your ktichen looks like..shit! Did you get kidnapped and then left and found this abandoned house to hide in?!" Ashlee asked
"Yeah cause that makes scense. And no, I'm staying with a family friend till dad gets back." I answered, by now it had been 4 days and i have slowly but surely improved on dealing with grandmothers death.
"Oh yeah. I heard. Im sorry Mrs. Gran Gran was louds of fun." Ashlee said saidly.
"Yeah haha, anyway what have you been up to?"
"Nothing much the usual. But vacation is over so I must be heading off to the wonderful lands of the friken awesome school.' Ashlee replied with a bored face on.
"Mmm. exciting." I replied laughing
"Yeah I know right!" She laughed too. Oh how much i missed her laugh.
"Give me the remote!" Carson yelled
"No! Its almost over!" Keith yelled back
"Keith! Give it to me!" Then i heard someone fall to the ground with a thud. "You blind bat!" Carson said. wait..Keiths blind? I thought
"No need to make fun off my disabelity Carson!" Keith yelled as I heard footsteps pounding on the ground
"What the heck?" Ashlee asked, her black hair falling over her shoulders, her grey green eyes looking right into the camera.
"Keith! I swear to God!" Carson yelled
"God has nothing to do with this buddy!" Keith laughed, i saw him running into the kitchen. "Hey Raine." He said nonshalanly as if he wasnt even aruging with his brother.
"Whooa baby!" Ashlee said.
"Oh..hi." Keith said waving into the my laptop.
"Helllooo hottness!" Ashlee replied giggling.
"Ashlee!" I said laughing too.
"Keith Garrison, give me the remote now!" Carson said standing behind me.
"Ahh! Two is even better!" Ashlee gasped, leaning her face into the screen.
"What the heck?" Carson said turning around trying to see where the voice was coming from. "Oh.." he said as he looked at the laptop, and smiled..and may i say his smile was very attractive.
"Whoaa baby!" Ashlee said, By now Carson and Keith were wrestling for the phone.
"Hold on." I said to Ashlee, I got out of my chair and went right in between them and took the reomte.
"Hey!" They both said at the same time.
"The remote..really of all things you choose to fight over the damn remote?" I asked annoyed
"Hell ya! I wanted to watch South Park." Carson stated
"I dont give a funny fuc* what you wanted to watch. Play nice or no remote for the both of you." I stated turning the channel to Nick Jr. "Watch Doria and learn a few things." I stated sitting back down. They both looked at me shocked as to what i had said and what i did. "Run along." I staed showing my hand, they both sighed and walked to the living room and sat down.
"Swiper no swiping!" I heard the TV say and then the boys sigh loudly.
"Ha. You sure do know how to handel children." Ashlee said laughing
"I know right!" I said too
