I flicked invisible dust off my suit where Catalyst touched me. "Well, I'm not a vigilante."
"So? Like I give a—HEY!"
Aphrodite threw herself over the railing. I watched in shock before glancing over the edge. She was already gone, probably running the same direction Samantha took off in.
Catalyst took a breath and turned to the two freaks in spandex behind her. "Go find her. NOW."
They shot off down the stairs as her fists lit up purple.
She turned to face me fully, wearing a savage grin. "Let's get started."
"Like I said, I'm good," I seethed, trying to walk around her. I knew it was coming, but I didn't duck or block the hit. An explosion lit up across my throbbing face.
Rage dripped down my throat into my chest, squeezing its nails into my heart. I matched her feral smirk and glanced at her hands before meeting glowing eyes. "This is gonna be fun."
