- Two years later -

*Owen's POV*

"Um..." I think I fucked up.

Dani stares absently at the mirror with her head tilted to the side, confused as she watches me stress over her hair.

The two braids are lopsided, but...it works? Right?

"Papa, it's wrong." Her hazel eyes meet my gaze in the mirror and then she uses her little finger to point to her hair.

"Well, you know what...it's fine." I give up. Doing her hair stresses me out. I place my hands under her armpits and pick her up off the small dresser in her room and onto the floor.

"C'mon, we're gonna go to the park." Because of the fall weather it's kind of chilly, so I grab her little pink sweater and kneel down on the floor so I'm at her level before pulling her arms through the sleeves.

"Slide!" Her little mouth turns up into a smile and she begins to jump up and down.

"Yes, slides. How fun." I kiss her soft chubby cheek and she smiles before I stand back up and hold her little hand in my much larger palm.

It's Saturday, except Luna went into the library today so that she can do paper work and shit.

"C'mon, say bye to Sadie." Dani quickly scurries over to our cat who is laid out across the couch, giving her a delicate kiss on her head.

When she leans back and looks down at the cat she grins, putting her baby teeth on display. "Adios."

I hold out my hand for her and she hops back over to me.

Yes, I did in fact say hop. She saw a video of a rabbit hopping on animal planet a few days ago and now she will just start hopping randomly at times.

She is her mother's daughter.  That's for sure.

Except her hopping is taking too much time, so I scoop her up in my arms so that we can walk out the building within two minutes rather than an hour.

Twenty-one years old with a two year old.  It's difficult at times with school and stuff, but Luna and I make it work.  Thank god we got blessed with a daughter who isn't a problematic child.

Dani is a happy little girl, always smiling an what not.  She mainly just wants to watch Princess movies and have Luna or me read to her.

Her favorite thing is when I tickle her stomach and she can't stop laughing.  Hearing her little giggles makes my heart want to explode.

"Arbre." She points to a large tree with a lot of green leaves as we walk on the side walk.  (Translation: Tree.)

"A pretty tree." I smile and rub her back with my hand as we continue walking.

Sometimes she just randomly blurts out words in French or Spanish. I'm not even sure if she knows that English, Spanish, and French are three different languages.

The park is roaming with kids, parents sit at the benches on the sides looking bored, like they just want to go home already.

"Want to go on the swings?" I set Dani down on the floor and hold onto her hand, leading her to the swing.

"Ya, ya!" She begins to try to run, except with her short little toddler legs her version of running is equivalent to my version of walking.

When we reach the swing she lifts her arms, silently telling me to pick her up.

Lifting her by her underarms, I place her in the baby swing.
