I was sitting here DYING of boredom

I was sitting right next to my father flashing a fake smile at everyone who thought I wanted to talk to them.

There was barely anybody age there. And the ones who were there are annoying and suck ups.

They think if they make a good impression on me then I'll put in a good word for them with my dad.

Which I never do

Why?

Cuz I hate them all.

I'm hungry

"Hey Dad I'm going to get something to eat"

I got up and walked in this uncomfortable dress in these shoes that were killing my feet. {Its in the comments}

I got to the food table and saw a whole bunch of food I don't like. I would call Ray to come and drop me off some McDonalds but he wouldn't make it past the security.

So fruits. Again.

I started piling my plate up with plates when some random person just decided to bump into me causing me to make them all fall back in the bowl.

"SERIOUSLY?"

"Oh my bad"

I turned to the voice and saw a light skin boy with hazel eyes and really curly black hair And pink lips.

Ohh Great.

"Yeah your bad"

"Aren't you the daughter of the fire Commisioner?"

I rolled my eyes

"Yeah"

"That's cool I'm Mason"

He put out his hand for me to shake I sighed and took it

"Faith"

"oh Faith I see you've met Mason "

My dad said Placing a hand on his shoulder

"He's a new trainee"

I tried my best to show that I cared

"Hes 17 And he's going to your school"

That's a problem. He could see Ray and I together.

"AND since your both single and Mason here is a nice trustworthy boy I was thinking that maybe you two could you know"

He nudged me as Mason smiled.

"Go out on a date or something."

"Dad"

"Come on Faith. He's a nice,smart boy. Right son?"

"Yes sir"

Mason ran his hands through his hair. My dad looked like he wouldn't take no for an answer. I sighed deep and long

"Fine. One date that's it"

They both smiled. Rays gonna be pissed

"Great in no time you two won't be able to stay away from each other"

He patted his shoulder then ran off to talk to someone else. The other person stepped to me.

"So Faith do you need anything?"

"Wanna go get me some McDonalds?"

He scrunched his eyebrows together in confusion.

"Seriously?"

I had a straight face. I'm pretty sure I don't look like I'm kidding.

"Don't you think that's a little unhealthy"

This- Let me stop before I go in on him.

"I know it's unhealthy that's why I want it"

Oh no. Hell no. This ain't gonna work.

"You know what forget it I'll just starve its ok."

I walked to the head of the long table where everyone was sitting waiting for the presentation to start. Mason pulled up a chair next to me.

"Ladies and gentleman. Thank you all for coming"

My dad was up at the podium beginning thas presentation

"As you know we work day after day to protect our city."

"YES!"

A Random Person yelled. Everyone laughed

"Ok settle down now. But we all know why we can't effectively protect it right?"

Everyone agreed

"Because of 4 boys. The West Side still exist."

I know where this is going.

"These boys are Major links to the Drugs,Shootings,Fighting, and Pimping"

He turned on the projector and Jacobs face popped up then Craigs then Chresantos and everyone boo'ed". I laughed the thing was we helped them take those pictures. We posted them online. They went through all of the boys until they got to Ray. I unconsciously bit my lip

"Are you ok?"

I turned to Mason

"Huh?"

"You were biting your lip."

"I was?"

Why is he so focused on my lips and what I do with them?

"Yeah"

I shrugged and my dad continued

"These boys are a menace to society, and care about no one ,but themselves so from this day forward the next time they you have to pull one of them over ,or catch one stealing arrest them IMMEDIATELY."

Everyone started to cheer. I on the other hand is concerned my baby is in trouble
