Felix slept soundly on his back, his features content. When suddenly he gasped for air, shooting up. Panting wildly, he looked around in alarm and scrambled to get to his feet. His legs felt odd like something was trying to control them. "PAN!" He yelled when a recollection of memories rushed back to him. "PAN!!!"
He went to yell again when a sudden feeling overwhelmed him, one of great apprehension and the sounds of laughter filled his ears--not just ordinary laughter, but Anne's laughter as a small child. His heart beginning to pound, his mouth grew dry and his eyes shot around like he was back in some glitter of the past. The laughter was endless and then screams. "Over here!" A little Anne called. Whirling in the direction of her voice, Felix saw nothing. "No, here, stupid!" She yelled again, but it was closer. Felix spun around again when he was pushed to the ground.
The voices fading, he shook his head to lose the photographic memories in his head. A familiar voice pulled him from the rest of the surreal reality. "Awake, I see..."
His vision clearing up, Felix saw a dark figure in the shadows. He rushed back to his feet. He then tried to make out the face of the figure but wouldn't dare get close. "Is that--" his thought was interrupted when the figure walked out into the light of the moon. "Rumpelstiltskin..." Felix began with a soft, growing grin because he had known Rumple wanted to talk to him.
"In the flesh," he replied, mirroring the lost boy's grin.
"Where are the others?" Felix inquired, furrowing his brows.
Rumple chuckled. "Your precious little sister has got them convinced she knows where Pan keeps his toys."
"She's not my sister," Felix protested.
"Certainly not, she's one of them," he spoke darkly. The lost boy felt more puzzlement, when Rumple lifted a finger. "I needed a distraction...to talk to you," he explained.
        "You mean, you know?"
"I knew the moment we found the three of you in that clearing." Rumple chuckled more. "I knew my father wouldn't just hand her over. He just wants to trap them."
        Felix smirked knowingly.
"I've come to offer you a deal," Rumple began again, stepping close to the lost boy. "I saw what he did to you." His gaze narrowing, he watched the lost boy attentively.
Felix's eyes slightly widened and his features hardened into slight betrayal, but it's not like Rumple was ever his personal friend.
"Because it was your heart, we can track them down, save your sister and kill my papa."
Relaxing, Felix thought about the idea and while it wasn't clarified, it sounded tasteful. With a grin, he slowly spoke. "What's the plan, dark one?"
Rumple's eyes darkened and a wicked smile played on his lips. From there, he expanded on the idea and plotted thoroughly.

"Sounds promising," Felix commented when they were finished.
"I'm not one to overlook small details..."
"No, you certainly are not, dark one," the lost boy replied with a grin.
        "So...do we have a deal?"
        "We have a deal, Rumpelstiltskin."

Except there was more to it, something about Rumple's features got under Felix's skin--gave the retired second-in-command a sense that he had been cheated when he made the deal, and little did the Beastly boy know, he wouldn't be wrong to feel that way.

A.N. I finally updated, I apologize. And to clarify, this chapter was no flashback, and by the way, reread the last sentence ;)...do you think Felix was right to make the deal? I want you guys to think about the state of mind Rumple is in. His father has betrayed him numerous times, and while Anne looks like Rumple's mom, Pan's doing everything he can to protect her because she's his hope, his light, his love, his happiness...and with that, what do you think Rumple could do to something like that to get back at his father? Hint hint... *wink wink*
