----------Hi! So faster upload!!! Yay!!! This part explains a lot of stuff about Olympus and what's going on. Anyways, enjoy! (: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Slowly I made my way to my cabin, taking in my surroundings as I walked. I arrived at the front door and opened it. Inside I saw one huge rectangular room with doors running down both of the long sides. Teenagers were scattered around sitting on the couches just hanging out. The only man in the room soon walked up to me.

"I'm assuming that you are the new demigod, Caleb Walker?" I sighed inwardly, wondering how many if these introductions I would have to go through in the next couple of days.

"Ya. I just met Prometheus and he told me to come here."

"Well then, welcome to your new home Caleb. I am in charge of this building, the Lightening Cabin. Your room is the fifth door on the right. For now you haven't got a roomate but that could change anytime. If you need anything, ask one of the kids for me, Mr. Cambell."

"Alright." I replied and got away as I was really feeling the need to sleep. I opened up my door, turned on the light, and looked around. The room was a medium size and there wasnt much extra space as it had a set of bunk beds, two desks, and a large built-in bookshelf. I opened the first of two doors to see your average bathroom. Behind the other one was a walk-in closet, big enough to easily hold enough stuff for two guys. As I had nothing but the shirt on my back right now, I wasn't too concerned about having enough space anyways. I threw myself on the lower bunk and in minutes, I was out. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I woke to a knock at my door. "Come in!" I called while rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. The door opened and in walked a man who looked to be in his early thirties.

"Did I wake you up?"

"Ya, but it's fine."

"Well, I'm your instructor, Damarion. Since you're new I thought that we would spend today answering all of the questions im sure you have." I felt like breathing a sigh of relief. Finally someone was going to explain what was happening to me. Still, I couldn't help feeling like I might be happier just not knowing.

"If it's okay with you, I'll give you a brief overview if this world and if after that you still have questions, you can ask them."

"Alright." I replied and waited for him to begin.

"Hopefully you already know that the gods, led by Zeus, overthrew the Titans who were ruled by Kronos?" he said, looking at me expectantly. I nodded my head confirming that I had learned that. "Well, the gods then set up Olympus and ruled from there. They often had children with mortals and their offspring were us, the Demigods. Most people think that the gods in the Greek stories never died but that's not true. The power and position of the gods has been passed on from one generation to the next but the individuals who were the gods died. Unlike humans, though, the gods live for thousands of years. All of the minor gods, like Hecate, the god of magic, and Ladon, the god of rivers, live roughly five thousand years. The fourteen major gods, Zeus, Hera, Hades, Ares, Poseidon, Aphrodite, Athena, Hephaestus, Apollo, Hermes, Artemis, Demeter, and Dionysus, live for twice that length of time, ten thousand years. When a god, major or minor, dies, one of his children or grandchildren takes over his position. The god names his replacement on his deathbed. If the god does not decide which of his children will take up his role, all of the eligible demigods either relinquish all rights to becoming the next god or fight all of the others for the position. During this period of time, there is no god to replace the one who passed away. When the demigods fight, horrific damage is often done to the world." Damarion's face looked troubled at this point. "The grand cannon was caused by one of these fights. Never in history has this happened to a major god but if it did, the resulting war could be enough to destroy most of the world. Thats enough of a history lesson for now. Over time, you will learn more about the specifics of our past. Any questions?" I thought for a moment. One question had been bugging me for days but I was more than a little afraid to ask it. I had put it off for ling enough, though and asked,

"Which of the gods is my grandfather?"

"I thought you would want to know that." Damarion said smiling a little. "Your gradfather is...........
