Feelings are weird

Alex: Look. This is all your fault!

Aaron: Oh so what. Collins is taking care of her. He likes Roni.

Alex: Yeah. We don't have to worry about that.

Aaron: So what's your deal?!

Alex: I would've been able to help her if you weren't throwing a temper tantrum.

Aaron: I was not throwing a temper tantrum! You were the one being a big baby.

Roni: Y'all need to stop arguing over Nessa. She's going to end up with no one since she's so greedy with guys.

Alex: Roni you're just jealous.

Roni: What?! I'm not jealous!

Nessa and Collins walk over to everyone arguing.

Collins: That is it! We all clearly need breaks from certain people.

Nessa: Collins is right.

Roni: "CoLiNs Is RiGhT."

Nessa: What?

Collins: This is what I'm taking about!

The group is silent.

Collins: So Nessa choose who you want to hang out with.

Nessa: What?!

Collins: This isn't a final decision. Those two aren't the only guys in the world. Plus for a break probably not a good idea.

Nessa: Ok so I'll hang with Collins. Roni will hang with..Aaron and Alex..will hang with my friend Lexy.

Alex: Lexy? Who's Lexy?!

Nessa: She's cool. You'll like her.

Alex: Alright. I trust your judgment.

Collins: Great so it's settled.

Wait. Nessa chose me to hang out with! Don't be stupid. She had too. Her sister is furious with her and those two fight over her constantly. It's nothing.

Roni: Come on Aaron.

Nessa: I'll give you Lexy's number.

Alex: Sounds cool.

Collins: So what do you like to do?

Nessa: I like painting! Let's paint!

Collins: Ok, let's paint.

Nessa: I don't know you that well. What do you like to do?

Collins: Uh I'm pretty open to anything. Is there anything you don't like?

Nessa: Volleyball. But other than that I'm open to trying things.

Collins: Cool. I know what we should do next.

Nessa: Ok. How's the painting.

Nessa laughs.

Collins: I'm not my brother ok?

Nessa: Yes, but unlike your brother you can do some magic.

Collins: You want to see some magic?

Nessa nods.

Collins pulls a rose from behind her ear

Collins: A beautiful rose for a beautiful girl.

Nessa blushes.

Nessa: Thank you.

Roni: So, you want to do a puzzle?

Aaron: Sure.

Aaron and Roni start working on a puzzle.

Aaron notices how nice Roni is around him and how it's relaxing when she's not talking to bad about Nessa.

Aaron: Hey, Roni?

Roni: Hm?

Aaron: Did you really mean your apology?

Roni: No, of course not. I believe she is the way she is.

Aaron: She can't control who has feelings for her.

Roni: Fine, but she's hogging everyone. Every guy likes her.

Aaron: So, you're just jealous?

Roni: No! Ugh stop talking about her! It's not easy for me.

Aaron: What? What do you mean?

Roni: She always gets the guys. She's more popular. She's prettier. She's smarter. She's the favorite. And she's everything I'm not...

Aaron: I think you're just as good as she is.

Roni smiles.

Roni: I should learn to accept that before I give an apology. It needs to be real.

Aaron smiles.

Lexy and Alex are sitting on a porch step.

Lexy: So...why did Nessa tell us to hang out?

Alex: We all needed a break from each other.

Lexy: Really, why?

Alex: It's a long story.

Lexy: Well we got all day don't we?

Alex laughs.

Lexy: What? What's so funny?

Alex: It's a weird situation. Pretty crazy actually.

Lexy: We've got time. Tell it.

Alex: So basically, Aaron and I like the same girl. Nessa. Collins liked Roni and dated her. Then they broke up because Roni was still in love with Aaron. Roni is fighting with Nessa because she thinks Nessa has everything she doesn't. She blames Nessa for her problems. Then we met a bunch of ghosts and then-

Lexy: You met a bunch of ghosts?

Lexy laughs.

Lexy: This sounds so fake. Not the sister drama though.

Alex: Well it's not fake. It's 100% real. Anyways, we found dead people from the Holocaust that didn't know they were dead. We met some ghost that trapped us. Oh and before the ghosts Nessa almost died. Luckily Aaron brought his stupid first aid thing. Anyways, back to the ghosts. Yeah then Nessa was told by her ghost friend someone needed to apologize. Roni thought it was Nessa. She figured out it was her. Then we were free and the next day we went to the beach. Nessa got hurt again and-

Lexy: She's like accident prone around you guys. Maybe it's a good thing you gave the poor girl a break.

Alex: Yeah, anyways Collins helped her and Roni was being weird about it. She was saying stuff like she's stealing him too which is not true.

Lexy: How do you know it's not true?

Alex: Ugh I don't know. Feelings are complicated.

Lexy: Tell me about it.

Alex: Yeah. Anyways I hope she chooses me but in the end if she doesn't I'll be ok.

Lexy: You know Alex? Maybe your issue is you aren't going for the right girl.

Alex: What do you mean?

Lexy: Maybe what you need is..right in front of you.
