Chapter 16

*Navya Pov*

I opened my eyes slowly hearing some buzzing sound near my ear. But when I opened them, I saw the face of my husband who is sleeping but with a small frown.

Seeing that I myself frowned and thought why he always just struggles like he is just trying to prove something. It looks like he never feels any peace within him.

The buzzing sound brought me out of my thoughts. I was trying to move so that I can take my phone from the table so see who is calling me, but his arm around my waist stopped me from moving.

I slowly removed it without disturbing him and got up in a sitting position. Taking the phone from the night stand, I saw that Divya is calling me.

I lifted it and leaned against the head board. She immediately started saying, "Hello Madam! Are you still sleeping? If you are, then tell me all the details about yesterday's night."

"Good morning, Divya! And yes, I just woke up, but I am not going to say anything to you." I replied smiling.

"If you do not tell me anything in a few seconds, then I will hijack you and will not let you meet your husband these two weeks." she said threateningly.

At the same time, I felt him moving. I thought he was going to wake up, but he just snuggled towards me and placed his head on my lap.

I would have been okay with that, but he just placed his arm around me hugging me like that. Another problem is I can't move from his hold at all.

Nevertheless, looking at his sleeping face, I slowly placed my hand on his head and started stroking his hair. I smiled while doing it and then heard someone saying, "Navya!" distantly.

Then I remembered that I am on the phone with Divya. I cleared my throat and said, "Yeah?"

"Yeah?! Seriously Navya? You didn't hear what I have been saying for a few minutes' right?" she asked, and I can tell that she is fuming.

"I guess so! Please don't be mad." I pleaded her frowning because I don't want her to be mad at me.

"Navya! Why would I be angry with you? You should actually scold me for calling you now when you are enjoying your honeymoon." She said like I just said the most ridiculous thing.

"Then why did you call me?" I asked her confused.

"To disturb you DUH. So that I can finally see my dear Navya is getting angry at least now. But it looks like my plan just backfired." She replied.

"And if you are in front of me, you can see me pouting." She added making me laugh.

"You are a really crazy best friend." I said shaking my head.

"What can I say? I want you to do at least one thing you never did, until now, but the reason for your doing must be me. I guess you will also get angry for the first time only for your husband." She said sighing.

"I am not even understanding what you are saying." I said frowning.

"Do you remember how many times I asked you to come with me for a trip outside Bhopal, but you never did say your parents may not accept. Please underline the May for sure because you never asked them already thinking of their answer. But look at you now already living outside the city, and now you are in a different country which is completely because of your husband and I know it." She explained in five minutes, then I understood what she is saying.

"I had to move because he is my husband and about coming here I want to really spend some time with your cousin and her friends." I said smiling still stroking his hair.
