In The First Place

Nothing ever gets done

Because maybe I'm still too young

Or maybe I just haven't found

Something to keep me bound

To whatever the hell I'm doing

I mean let's be honest here

Adding one and six to make teens

Meanwhile doing sweet things

Can only be achieved

By following one's true dreams

And I know nothing lasts forever

But there has to be a now

Just like yesterday was one's past now

And tomorrow is one's future now

But I don't see what this has to do with wasting time anyhow

I guess what I'm trying to say

Is how someone like me

Is just wasting time watching TV

And writing on the screen

For you all to see

And you all to read

While I'm just here

Bringing an inside voice to your ears

Hoping to achieve

Something I can't believe

I'm putting on screen

For all of you to see

But what's the point anyway

If I didn't have something to say

In the first place?
