Chapter 7 - Headaches and Sleepovers

Mackenzie s POV
I'm sweaty and exhausted and it's time to go home from dance. Maddie is clearly tired too, she looks pale but probably just the lighting. She is quiet, probably because she is tired.

Time skip to bedtime -----------

Maddie's POV
I feel awful. I have a headache and I think I'm gonna throw up. I'm sure I'll be ok tomorrow I just need to sleep.

Time skip to next morning ------------------

Maddie's POV
My alarm goes off at 6:30 and the first thing I do is run to the bathroom and vomit. I sit on the floor, holding my stomach, which now feels as though a combination of Niagara Falls and an erupting volcano are having a party in there, and groaning. Soon Kenzie comes in and runs to me, clearly worried. I'm shivering as she gently rubs my back while I throw up then runs to get mom.

Mackenzie's POV
Maddie has a tummy bug so she can't come to dance later! I feel so sorry for her, especially since she has a solo this week! And I will have to take the bus alone, eek. I hope either Jojo or Sarah will be on my bus! Otherwise it will be easy for Asia. It's been an eventful early morning but its only 6:40! I'm already dressed and ready! I'm wearing a teal jumper-top with black patterned leggings, a black snood and black Uggs. It looks fine. I have on some waterproof mascara and faint lipstick. I've also washed and cleansed my face. I quickly brush my hair and clip a small black bow into place at the side of my head, then I creep downstairs ( maddie went back to sleep ) and grab a strawberry pop-tart. I throw my books into my schoolbag and run down to the bus stop. Asia is waiting for me there but I quickly turn away from her. I search for maddie's friend kendall, luckily I spot her. ' hi kendall, maddie's ill today so it's just me' i call to her ' oh poor maddie! Still, nice to see you kenzie' I smile. She stands protectively by me so asia can't do a thing!

I can't wait to see Jojo and Sarah at school today ! I'm so looking forward to being safer in class.

🍃 yeah definitely! It can be at my house !
🌻 great! So we can go to mackenzie's straight after school tomorrow !
🌺Yep! We just need to check with parents
🍃Cool! I'm sure my mom will be fine with it! I haven't had a sleepover since, I don't even know !
🌻 I can't remember my last sleepover!
🌺 yeah, I think mine was before I moved here.

🌺 ok, we have to go, see you guys at lunch!

I am so excited for the sleepover tomorrow ! I can't wait to meet up with Sarah and Jojo at lunch either, I just hope Asia doesn't see me before then.
