“Here we are!”

I glanced around at the practically empty training ground that my sensei was beaming at. We were at training ground three, and I’m not exactly sure why we were here. Glancing between Miya and the area, I eventually pointed in front of me. “We’re gonna train here?”

“Sort of,” Miya exclaimed, “Just gotta set up!”

I watched as she started to draw weird markings on the ground with blood. When did she even prick herself to get blood? I tilted my head at her. “What are you doing?”

She ignored me as she did handsigns and pressed her hands against the markings. The ground shook as a giant door rose from underground. It was a simple white door, spikes surrounded the edges of it, and chains denied anyone from opening it. She easily broke through the chains with a blade of wind from her fan, and gestured between the door and myself.

“What is that?”

“It’s your training.” She replied simply.

“My training is a door?” I asked, eyebrow raised at her.

Miya rolled her eyes at my response. “No, it’s inside of the door.”

“Oh.” I glanced at the door a few times, before returning my gaze to my sensei. “What’s in there?”

“Ah…” She hesitated for a moment, scratching the back of her head. “... If I remember correctly, something worse than what Ryuu has to deal with.”

I paused for a moment. Is that even possible? Something even worse than what Ryuu has? It’ll kill me. “Miya-Miya, I’ll die.”

“You said you could handle it.”

“Yes, I know, but... “ I trailed off, grimacing a bit.

“Then, you can handle it.” She finished.

I stared at Miya skeptically. There was no way I’d be able to handle it. This lady is crazy. “I…”

“No excuses now! Are you ready?” She asked, opening the door wide and giving me a push on the back.

“No!” I cried, throwing my arms out like I was a cat in water. “Aren’t you going to give me tips?”

Miya tapped her chin for a second, mocking a thoughtful expression.“Don’t die!” She declared, pushing me from behind, and forcing me through the door before shutting it.

So, here I am, laying flat on my face in a extremely dark room. A supposedly dangerous, dark room. “I dislike my Sensei.” I said, mostly to myself. Eventually, I picked myself up and looked around, but it was too dark to see anything.

I shot my hand out in front of me, trying to find anything solid to hold onto. A wall, a chair, a lightswitch… any would be welcomed. I can’t even see two feet in front of me-- I can’t even see an inch in front of me. I waved my arms around frantically, hoping to hit something. It didn’t seem like my eyes were adjusting to the darkness any time soon, and the air felt thick.

Suddenly, I felt the ground slip from my feet, and my body quickly hurling towards the ground. Catching myself with my hands, I growled in frustration. I just tripped on thin air. Clearly, if I trip on air then it’s time to give up. What kind of test is this anyway? This isn’t dangerous, this is just stupid! It’s a hazard to not have any lights at all.

I stopped all motion, and just listened instead. Maybe I’m just dreaming, and my sensei didn’t actually throw me into a door without any instructions. Yeah, it definitely was a dream. My sensei wouldn’t do that, right? Sure, she’s a little crazy and stuff but I doubt she’d be this irresponsible.
