Black Lightning : The Book of Fortitude

The Pierce family is in the midst of a riot taking place in

their city of Freeland.Jennifer takes it upon herself to go

after Tobias Whale seeking revenge for the death of her

boyfriend Khalil.She is unable to control her powers so she

bursts into a ball of energy causing herself severe

pain.Gambi realizes what is happening and goes after her.He

is unable to help and thus is left burnt by her energy.After

a pep talk with Perenna, Jennifer is able to stop it.

However, she realizes Gambi may be in trouble. Anissa appears

and helps Jennifer take him to the sanctum to save him.

During a meeting with Tobias, Cutter explains that there were

no charges for the death of unarmed meta-human"Cape

Guy".Tobias feels that this will help bring an uproar to the

city ,allowing him to take control.Dr.Jace is arrested by

Deputy Chief Henderson and taken into custody by the Freeland

Police Department.She is eventually taken from the jail

holding by a teleporting, bounty hunter that works for the

Markovians.

Tobias sends out the "Masters of Disaster" to wreak havoc on

Freeland. Meanwhile,Rev.Holt is shown to be alive and hosting

a safe haven service for Freeland residents during the riots.

Jefferson and Anissa go up against the "Masters of Disaster"

while Jennifer and Gambi go to unfreeze the city's

generator. By using her powers, Jennifer breaks the ice freeing

the main generators causing the lights to go back on around

the city.

Cutter leaves Tobias because he wants to use Proctor's

briefcase to release the pod kids and due his constant abuse.

After nearly 30 years in captivity, the pod kids are released

out to the public.Gambi is able to track the briefcase being

held by Tobias. Jennifer shows Gambi she has the power to fly

and goes off to find Tobias.Lala shows up at Tobias home to

kill him. However, Tobias has a new saying that causes Lala's

tattoos to painfully populate all at once on LaLa's

body.This causes him to pass out. Jennifer announces her alias

as "Lightning" charging towards Tobias with electricity. She

attempts to kill him but Jefferson appears trying to

stop.They both take on Tobias although they decide not to

kill him. Later, Tobias is shown to have been taken to the

authorities.

Khalil, Issa and Wendy are being held in the lab by Agent

Odell.Tobias has been imprisoned at an unmarked correctional

facility called"The Pit". As the conflicts seem resolved, the

Pierce family enjoys a family moment.They are abruptly

interrupted by Agent Odell informing them that he wants to

recruit them to fight against the Markovians for an impending

war.
