Chapter 03

My connection with Colin became even deeper as a result of what happened. Ilang araw palang kaming magkakilala pero close na agad kami sa isa't isa. I opened up to him as if I had known him for a long time. He was the one who consoled me when I was on the verge of losing out, so I suppose he has a right to know why.

He confessed to me after two weeks. Umamin siya sa 'kin dahil ayaw niya raw magsisi sa huli.

I understand why all happened too quickly, but it's never too early or too late to realize that you're in love. In my belief, there is no set timeframe for falling in love.

I believe in love at first sight, but I never expected it to feel this way. It is an exquisite feeling, really!

When I told him I like him too, he didn't believe me. Baka raw inuuto ko lang siya at umaarte lang ako e ang galing ko pa naman daw na artista. I made it clear that what I feel for him is real. I also told him I was willing to begin a relationship with him. He was hesitant at first, but eventually agreed.

"Is it okay if we keep our relationship a secret? Ayokong madamay ka sa magulo kong mundo, Colin."

"Ayos lang sa 'kin, Cai. Kailangan din kitang itago... Para ma-protektahan kita..."

Walang ibang nakakaalam tungkol sa amin ni Colin kundi kaming dalawa lang at si Aria. Kahit sa manager ko, hindi ko pinaalam. Eunice will probably freak out if she finds out.

"Sigurado ka na ba sa kanya, Miss?" Aria is not glad of the idea of me having a relationship with Colin, kahit hindi niya sabihin. Naiintindihan ko naman kung bakit. Ayaw niya lang akong masaktan. "Kahit nga po favorite color niya hindi niyo alam."

They say I'm not supposed to be with a man I've just met. He knows all there is to know about me, but I only know his name and hobby. Pero para sa 'kin, okay lang. Pwede ko naman siyang kilalanin habang kami na, hindi ba?

His jolliness conceals his mysterious nature to some extent. Ilang linggo na rin naman kaming nagkakasama kaya pakiramdam ko ay kilala ko na siya. Pero... kilala ko na nga ba siya?

Colin and I were together for the last few days of my stay on the island. Lagi kaming kumakain together, kasama rin namin si Aria. He's always taking photos of me, which I always post on social media. Lagi itong nag-viviral kaya natutuwa siya.

Tumawag din minsan sa 'kin 'yong manager ko dahil natutuwa raw siya na active ako online kaya matunog pa rin ang pangalan ko kahit hindi ako masyadong nakikita on screen ngayon. Masaya raw siya na hindi ko pinapabayaan ang career ko kahit na sa bakasyon ako.

My stay here so far is good. Pakiramdam ko nasa ibang mundo ako. Hindi maingay at magulo. Hindi ko kailangang mag-alala na biglang may hahablot sa 'kin at magpapa-picture o magtatanong ng kung anu-ano. Though I have to keep my shades on kapag lumalabas ako, like I normally do, just to make sure lang.

Gustong-gusto ko rito. Parang ayoko nang umalis. Ang tahimik lang kasi ng lugar na 'to. Pakiramdam ko, nahanap ko ulit ang sarili ko rito.
