On my way back to my estate, my thoughts were interrupted by the shouts of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. I turned to my right to see the trio running towards me at full speed with their voices overlapping each other making it hard to understand their words. You sighed and smiled widely and waved to the boys as they made their way over to you.

Tanjiro, who was out of breath, spoke up,

"(Y/N)! I heard what happened, are you okay? I'm so sorry I wasn't there to help." He kept apologizing and bowing over and over. I instantly grew flustered from all of the attention they were giving me at that moment and the way they all were acting.

Zenitsu grabbed my hand and held it close to his face while making crazy expression and sobbing,

"(Y/N)! I was so worried about you! You're too beautiful to be eaten by a demon!"

The rest of his words were practically random sounds since his sobs and gasps made it difficult to understand. I looked at him with empathy and confusion while trying to comfort him while Inosuke shouted at Tanjiro and Zenitsu. I'm gonna be late, I missed these guys but I have a mission, I thought to myself. I laughed at the boys at gently spoke up,

"Thank you for your concern you three, however I have a mission that I have to leave for so we can catch up some more when I get back okay?" I smiled and apologized for having to run off so soon. I waved to the three boys while making my way towards my destination. I sighed heavily and spoke aloud to myself,

"I still need to report the incident." I loathed reporting anything because the process was so slow. I turned my walk into a sprint and I was off.

A few hours had gone by and it was a little past the time that Giyuu and I were supposed to depart for the mission.

My chest heaved up and down as I sprinted towards the garden where we're supposed to meet and I could see the tall dark haired boy standing with slight annoyance written on his face.

If my first impression wasn't bad enough this is sure to shit all over who I am, I thought. I flashed a sorry smile and started explaining,

"I'm really sorry Giyuu, I got caught up by Tanjiro and the others and I had to report my version of the incident and you know how lo-" I was caught off by him walking away and flatly saying,

"Let's go, we don't have time." I nodded my head in response. Something felt off in my chest, more specifically my heart, when he coldly addressed me and cut me off.

The town was about three and a half hours away from our current location and the first hour of the trip was traveled in silence. I was completely wrapped in my own head. I kept thinking about the look in his eyes and when he spoke so coldly to me.

Why does that bother me so much? It's not the first anyone has been slightly rude to me so...why did it hurt so much when he did it? I kept thinking this over and over until he interrupted my thoughts,

"Are you feeling okay? You look sick. Do you need to turn back because of your injuries?"

He looked at me with an expressionless face yet his eyes showed concern for my well being. The softness in his eyes made my stomach flutter and my chest felt weird. I didn't know what was happening to my body.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for your concern," I flashed a smile at him and looked away. I could feel his eyes on me but I ignored it.

"When's your birthday Giyuu?" I asked suddenly. He looked over at me with confusion on his face and slightly shocked at the random question.
