Sage Martin: Our heroine of The Tide, follow Sage as she navigates life after the world crashes and when she meets a merman that may help her live.
Tyler Martin: Our heroines little brother, ten years old when he passes away from a mysterious illness that plagues the old and young.
Jane Martin: Mother to Sage and Tyler, immediately kills herself after the death of her son. Has a history of mental illness.
Prince Marius (Chromis Fish): Soon to be King of the underwater kingdom of Urbem Deorum (In Latin this loosely translate to “City of the Gods”)
Pit: A pet dog of Sage, found outside Laguna Beach.
James Martin: Father to Sage and Tyler. Dies in one of the first waves of soldiers sent to fight in the Third World War. The family was told he died because of an enemy attack with tear gas. But what really killed him was stepping a land mind that caused him to bleed to death with shrapnel lodged in his body along with a few bullet shots from countless soldiers.
Adam (Brackish Fish): Close friend of Marius and also the First Knight in the Royal Guard.
Ethel (Lion fish): Sea Witch and also nurse maid to Marius.
King Caetus (Shark): King of the Merpeople and Marius’s father.
Queen Excelsa (Angel Fish): Queen of the Merpeople and Marius’s mother.
Prince Algrarum (Butterfly Fish): Younger brother to Marius and second in line to the throne. Often nicknames “Al”
Malum (Eel): A Sea witch whose name literally means Evil in English.
