Manik had panicked seeing Nandini like this. His Nandini was bubbly, chirpy and positive. But this crying and stammering sight of her had left him aghast.
"Relax Nandini. First, breath. Come on. Breath." Said manik Carresing her hair lightly
Nandini took two deep breaths. It really helped her.
"Now tell me what exactly happened." Manik asked her in a soft voice
Nandini started to shiver again looking at the box.

Manik realized something is definitely not right with this box which had appeared out of nowhere in their office.
"Nandini what's in the box. " Manik asked but nandini did not answer him. She was jist staring at box.
But Manik was not that much of a patient guy.
" Okay fine! I will look myself what's in there."
He got up and was about to walk towards the box but Nandini held his hand in a tight grip.
He turned back only to see Nandini's welled up eyes nodding her head sideways telling him not to go.
Manik had had enough of her crying now.
It was very heart-wrenching for him to see her cry.
He sat back next to her and put his hand on her shoulder.
" You wont tell me what's inside. You won't let me go to see myself. Then how will I know Nandini What's -"
Before he could complete Nandini hugged him and whispered a word. Just one word.
And that was enough for Manik to tighten his hold around Nandini.
"Madhyam."
He caressed her back lightly hoping for her to calm down a little.
