It's May 1st. There is officially one month left of school. One month til I graduate from high school. One month until me and Melo are (hopefully) done with all this and until we get to do something we really like. Me and Melo are classmates well not really cus both of us don't go to school but you get it. Today is the day when we find out if we got our scholarship. We both applied to multiple schools but we found a college that is connected to the NBA and where we both could go if we both got in. So this afternoon we are going over to the ball family's house to find out together. I'm nervous because of multiple things. 1.my future depends on this 2. I haven't seen Gelo since the text he sent me because we were all busy But anyways I got ready and decided to wear something basic and simple

When there was anything important going on we always found out together. I was there when Gelo got accepted to UCLA and when Lonzo told us he is gonna be a dad. When we got there everyone was in Lavar's office sitting on the couch. We greeted each other. Lavar hugged me and asked how I was. I went over to hug Tina. Then hugged Zo,Denise and Zoey. Gelo came up to me and hugged me really tight and whispered in my ear -You nervous? -Little bit I went over to Melo and we did our handshake and decided to start talking with him cus and everyone was already in a conversation with someone. -what's up Dip? You nervous? -Kinda,I'm just really hoping this school is the one cus I get to be with you and it's a huge plus that it is connected to the NBA -yeah I know, let's hope for the best if it doesn't I'm still gonna be there -thanks for that girl,love you -love you too Dip I hugged him cus I know how much he needs that right now. Me and Melo's friendship is special,he doesn't really get emotional around people but he can always talk to me and I can talk to him about anything. We gathered around Lavar's desk and waited for the results. I was so nervous just like everyone else,our future depends on this.Then a notification appeared on the screen,Lavar opened the first email which was Melo's -Congratulations,you got into Los Angeles NBA University(btw I made the schools name up) -Congrats Dip-I said then hugged Melo Everyone said congratulations and then it was my turn Lavar opened the email and read it out loud -Congratulations,you got into Los Angeles NBA University -We both got in Lex,come here-Melo hugged me really tight and everyone else did too I can't explain how happy I am,this is what our dream was since we were little we finally can study what we want and still be close to each other. After everyone congratulated us we went downstairs and ate dinner together. I love when we eat together with the Ball family. All of us sitting at the table enjoying the food,talking,laughing and messing with each other. Nights like these make me so happy.
At around 10pm mom,dad and Lion went home. Me and Landon stayed to help clean up and spend some time with the boys. Lonzo and Denise were putting Zoey to bed,Melo and Landon were upstairs playing 2k and I was in the kitchen doing the dishes and just cleaning up. Then suddenly I felt two hands on my hip and I turned around it was Gelo,he was looking at me with his beautiful brown eyes and he said -What you doing girl? -Just cleaning up the place -You don't gotta do that -But I want to -alright then imma help He started collecting the plates from the table and I put them in the dishwasher. We cleaned up pretty fast together. Then I wanted to go upstairs to tell Landon that we're going home but once again Gelo grabbed my hips from behind and asked -Where you goin? -To tell Landon we're goin home -Why? -What you mean why? -Why you goin home so early? -I have practice tomorrow and it's gettin late -Come on Lex you guys haven't been here in forever I miss hanging out with everyone -I know I miss it too G -Come on Lexi please -Fine but only for an hour -Come with me let's have fun I followed Gelo and he was going to the backyard. The weather outside is not the best it's still pretty cold at night it I went outside anyway. We went to the basketball court he picked up a ball and started shooting then he passed it to me and I shot. We were just chillin and shooting around -You cold Lex? -Yeah,little bit -Here He took his hoodie off and gave it to me. Me and the boys always shared our clothes when we needed to. The boys always take my shit too and I take theirs. It was fun just chillin and hoppin with i in, I missed this mf so much, our personality is similar and we think alike so that's why I always had that type of connection with him. At around midnight we went inside and upstairs to Melo's room. Landon was on the couch sleeping and Melo was knocked out on the bed. Great,now I gotta wake Landon up. I tried waking him up but he was in a deep ass sleep. I told Gelo -The nerds fell asleep -It's okay they had a long day -But we gotta go home -Nah,you sleepin here -No Gelo I'm not gonna be rude -I'm asking you to sleep here,it's late the boys had a long day and you did too you guys can sleep here and go to practice from here tomorrow -You sure? -Ofc,now come on imma give you some clothes to sleep in We went into Gelo's room,which was far away from everyone else's. He gave me one of his shirts and some shorts that he grew out of. I went to go lay on his couch but he refused to let me sleep there, so I layed down on his bed and he did on the couch. -Goodnight Lex and congrats again -Thanks G,goodnight
I looked at the time,it was 3am and I have been laying here and not being able to fall asleep. I decided to be annoying and wake Gelo up. -Gelo -What? -I can't sleep -Close your eyes -Haha funny,I'm serious -What you want me to do? -Idk,let's talk or something -Fine,but you can't wake me up next time
