Okay, I know, I know. I didn't do an outro last chapter, and I put it in a scavenger's point of view, and also THERE'S ONLY TWO CHAPTERS WHERE PHANTOM AND KIM AREN'T WITH EACH OTHER. (Technically one and a half...) But yeah! THIS IS THE NEW CHAPTER!

We're back to Phantomhunter's POV, and the next time I change POVs will probably be the last except for the epilogue.

I stared out at the island. That has to be it. I thought. I flew toward a smaller island than the one I had stayed at for a day. I stared into the warm waters below me, and into my reflection. I had the same black and purple scales, the same dark blue swirls. But there was something different about me.
I had only been away from Kimberly for a day, but it already felt as though my heart was going to crack further.
    That's right. Further.
If she was here, she would have told me that Kim was going to be okay. That she was going to survive and I didn't have to worry. If she was here, I didn't have to feel like I lost half of me. If she was here, I would have been laughing. If she was here, we would have been lost together.
But she wasn't here. And now I was worried about Kim, I didn't think she would be okay, and I wouldn't be laughing. I wouldn't have felt more complete. Now I was broken, with only a third of my heart left to beat.
    Moonraiser was miles away.
I glanced at the ocean and realized I was crying. I wiped the bitter tears from my snout. Some fell into my mouth, but I didn't care. All I wanted to do was find Kimberly and go home to Moonraiser.
I don't miss Pine. I realized. But why? I realized it was because she had her own home to live in, her own family. Her own jungle. Her own continent.
    Her own love.
I shook off all those thoughts and angled myself downwards, toward the island.
I searched it over and over again, but nothing. Nothing. Kimberly wasn't here.

    Third person POV

In her grief, Phantomhunter walked over to the edge of the woods, to the very clearing that Kimberly was currently hiding in. Meanwhile, Kimberly was returning from her hunt, dragging the heavy cow to the woods. Phantomhunter turned around to fly back up and then stopped.
    Dragon eye met human eye.
    And they gasped.

Okay, I know I said last time I'm changing POVs, but NOW this is the last time.

    Phantomhunter's POV

I couldn't believe my eyes. It felt as though something was getting bigger inside my chest, swelling up as I stared into Kim's eyes. Another piece of my heart was back, and so was my best friend.

Anyways, see you all in the next chapter! Bye!!!
