Sakusa's POV

Resting my forehead against my car's steering wheel I unlock my phone and open my phone gallery, looking for a certain file.

'Y/n <3' Flashes across my screen, and I quickly open the photo file and a small smile creeps onto my face as I scan over the pictures.

My eyes land on a picture that makes my eyes go wide as I click on it, tears bubbling in my eyes as I look at the photo.

*flashback*

"Omiii-! Stop that-!" Y/n squeals, running along the beach away from me as I splash water at her with my feet.

Laughing softly under my breath I chase after her, my feet hitting the wet sand as her bubbly laughter fills my ears.

Getting closer to her I reach out my arms and grab her waist as I tug her into a tight hug, swinging her around me in a slow circle.

"Got you~!" I say, smiling softly as I set her back on her feet and turn her around to face me.

Humming softly she wraps her arms around my neck with a smirk before she jumps up to wrap her legs around my waist and kiss me.

Quickly placing my hands at her waist to help prevent her from falling, I kiss her back as I slowly let my eyes close.

Humming into the kiss she runs her fingers through my hair as she tugs at the ends, making me moan quietly.

Pulling her hips closer to mine I slip my hands down to cup her butt, biting her bottom lip gently as I slowly pull away from the kiss.

"Let's go back to your place.." I say, my voice barely above a whisper as she jumps off of me and we run back to the car...

*end of flashback*

Swiping through the photos a stop at a few if them, letting the memories that come along flood my brain.

"I miss you so fucking much..." I whisper, looking at the picture of her smiling face that lights up my phone screen.

Smiling weakly, I slowly rub away the tears from my eyes as I exit the photo gallery and open up my messages.

Hesitating as my fingers hover over the name that flashes across my screen, I take a quick breath before opening up our messages.

Letting my fingers dance across the screen as I type out a message, I quickly send it without even thinking about it.

Sakusa is typing...

Message sent! ➪

Y/n's POV

Slowly standing up I gently clap my hands on my legs and run a hand through my hair before turning to smile at Atsumu and Osamu.

"I'm gonna go outside for a minute, I have a call to make." I say, and they smile before going back to whatever conversation they were having

Walking out of the house I look around the yard before my eyes land on the car parked in the driveway.

Squinting my eyes to see in the dark, I notice the outline of a person sitting in the driver's seat and I slowly walk over to the car.

Walking up to the door, I carefully tapp on the window to catch Sakusa's attention and he glances at my before unlocking the door.

Swinging open the door, I climb into the seat next to him as I look over at him with narrowed eyes.

Closing the door behind me, I look closely at his face and notice the small tears that are dried on his face and my eyes widen in alarm.

"Hey... you okay?" I say, my voice soft with concern as I hold myself back from placing my hand onto his shoulder.

He glances at me and smiles before simply humming in response as he nods his head softly, and a calm silence fills the car.

Tugging on the sleeves of my jacket I let myself lean back against the seat I slowly close my eyes as I take a deep breath.

"Hey y/n..." Sakusa says, his voice crackly and almost silent as he catches my attention making my slowly turn to look at him.

Nodding my head softly to acknowledge him, he turns to look at me and I smile awkwardly as I wait for him to continue.

"I'm sorry for everything..." He says, closing his eyes as he runs a hand through his hair and tugs at the ends of his curls.

"I never wanted to hurt you." He whispered, his voice cracking as he shook his head quickly and turned his face away.

"I just... I just had to leave, before I made things even more complicated." He said, his voice dropping as I looked at him with eyes narrowed in confusion.

"Complicated..? What do mean..?" I said, tilting my head as I was genuinely curious as to what he was trying to get at.

"We set rules right?" He said, his voice slightly clearer as he still stared out of the window ans avoided looking at me.

"Yeah, there were three rules." I said, running a hand through my hair as I shook my head in confusion.

"But what does that have to do with anything?" I whispered to myself as I glanced over at him and noticed how he was now looking at me.

"One: No easily visible markings." He said, his voice dull as he tapped the steering wheel with his fingers.

"Two: Absolutely no blood play or knife play." He hummed, glancing out the window breifly as I kept my gaze on him

"Three: Don't fall in love." He said, slowly turning his full attention to me as I tilted my head in utter confusion.

"I dont get it though, what do the rules have to do with anything..?" I said, laughing awkwardly as I rubbed the back of my neck.

"It's not like we broke them or anything, why should they matter..?" I humm, looking over at him and noticing the way he visibly flinches at my words.

"We did... or at least I did." He mumbled, his eyes looking at everything but me as he ran a hand through his hair.

Frowning slightly I tilted my head, still confused as he glanced over at me with a pained expression.

"You didn't feel anything..?" He whispered, his voice wobbly as he stared at me, and my eyes widened in realization.

"What are you saying..?" I say, my voice barely above a whisper as I stared back at him waiting for him to say something.

"I fell in love..." He mumbled, his voice crackly as he turned away from me as I stared at him with wide eyes.
